Sisi won’t send his army to Libya, but the UAE demands otherwise

The Egyptian military is very similar to the Indian one. They believe having the most expensive toys (without even the requisite armaments) will deter and defeat their enemies and all the need to do is just talk big.
A simple example is Egyptian F16s without AMRAAMs and the Su30s without the latest Russian BVRs.

. .
Very likely Egypt would like to establish herself in Libya. The leadership of Egypt probably still aspires the Pan Arabism epouse by Gamel Nasser.

An alliance of Egypt and Libya will combine Libya oil wealth with Egypt massive population. Overnight, Egypt will have more weight in Arabland than Saudi.

.
Can someone give me a brief summary of the different sides involved in Libya, who is supporting them, what their interests are, and if there is any scope of compromise?

The leadership of Egypt is nothing but a tinpot dictator named sissy.
Pan-Arabism died along with any hopes the Arab had of liberating Palestine when Bathism was truly and utterly destroyed by the US invasion of Iraq.
Today's Arab dictators aspire to nothing more than the continuation of their dictatorship and suppression and subjugation of their masses.

The word bonfire was first used by the French when they colonized Muslim North Africa, and they would burn Muslim libraries and call it a bonfire.

What a load of crap.

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bonfire

The "bon" in "bonfire" has nothing to do with the French word "bon".

Since when is "fire" a French word anyway ? We say "feu" and surely not "fire". Maybe you should search a little bit before coming with such BS.

Read the article. Egyptian military is not built for wars far away from its borders, they r built for defense and to protect dictators. Unlike the Turkish army, the Egyptian army is not capable of such an offensive. Only recently have they modernized somewhat. Also its clear the Egyptian army and sisi are obeying orders of UAE, while its own water is being blocked, a much more important and a bigger redline than sirte.
Man..that was up till 1973 where there was no mobile air defence in the entire world..Chazli the Egyptian chief of staff even proposed it to the Soviet Union at that time..and they laughed..thinking it was not feasible.. but look at it now..almost all modern air defence systems are mobile..and can cover advances on any field from air attacks..so don't base your thoughts on the past or a biased article from Turkish media..just read.."Sisi might have thought"..
Reality on the ground is the truth..
And about the UAE giving orders to Egypt ..that is a joke..both are close..the same as with the whole GCC countries counting out Qatar..

GCC is a joke. The only countries that count for anything are the Saudis and Emirates. Both of whom are almost at war with each other in Yemen.
The only thing Arabs agree on is never to agree with each other.

Well..they just all agreed with Egypt about Libya..so that is a false claim that they don't agree with each other..there are few disagreements here and there..yes..but nothing major..when it comes to Arab national security as a whole you always find them together agreeing..and acting in unison..

In Yemen, I would support KSA anyday over UAE. KSA is somewhat stuck in difficult times for which the West is blackmailing them, but atleast they are still trying to unite Yemen. UAE is playing to secessionist card everywhere they go, and have no qualms of having strong relationships with Israel and India.

Any successful examples of the Arab league acting in unison?

The only true Arab issue was the liberation of Palestine. On this the Arabs failed humiliatingly. So much so that today they are falling over each other trying to get in the good books of the Jewish state.
The Arabs will always just talk, all the actors of consequence on Arabs lands today are non Arabs.

The biggest mistake that MBS did was getting on the MBZ bandwagon.

The Arabs were the only ones to fight Usrael even when it was fully backed by the USA..where were you to liberate Al Quds? or you failed humiliatingly even to show up on the battlefield? HaHa!

Me..... Have you completely lost your marbles.
Did I ever say I wanted to or am interested in Jerusalem?
I wasn't even born when the Arabs lost all their possessions, you idiot.
And why would it matter to me

Yes.. too many to enumerate..

The Arabs lost Arab lands to non-Arabs and they can not even think about taking it back.
Let that sink in.
