Sinovac's vaccine general efficacy less than 60% in Brazil trial - report

You neeed to measure average efficacy, going by your logic, Oxford is less than 40% and modern Pfitzer is 6%. That's as per the recent explanation I was given. Sinovac was effective as high as 91% in Turkey and many places report high figures, but Brazil was politically motivated to reject that vaccine so I am not sure how does it effect the efficacy, don't forget China only used it on the highest risk front liners as opposed to general populace like in other vaccine tests. You also need to find out whether having sympotoms is equivalent as infected?

If you don't like Sinovac use Sinopharm, it's even higher at 79%.lol

chinese vaccine will have 95 -100 percent efficacy in pakistan and turkey .

Western propaganda is misleading the world by comparing numbers of different types of efficacy in different test environments. They are citing Pfizer's clinical efficacy against Sinovac's general efficacy, like they are saying 95 lbs is heavier than 60 kg. Only fools believe them.

The Sinovac vaccine is an inactivated virus vaccine based on proven techniques that have been used for over a century.

mRNA and viral vector vaccines are experimental and designed to hijack your cells.

mRNA vaccines have NEVER been approved prior to Covid-19.

No one knows what the long-term risks are.

Educate yourself before you criticize China's vaccines.

China’s vaccine effort is following a very different course from those in the United States and Europe. Most leading Western vaccines rely on sexy technologies such as genetically engineered viral vectors, designer proteins, and snippets of RNA. Three of China’s four leading vaccine candidates use an unfashionable stalwart: the whole inactivated virus, an approach that dates back to the first successful flu vaccine in the 1930s.

The two other Chinese players, Sinovac Biotech and China National Biotec Group (CNBG)—a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest vaccinemakers, the state-owned Sinopharm—are taking a different approach: vaccinating people with the whole, “killed” virus. This requires no sophisticated protein or RNA design or genetic engineering: Scientists simply inactivate the virus with a chemical (beta propiolactone) and mix it with an adjuvant (alum) that effectively puts the immune system on full alert by irritating it. In theory, such vaccines can produce broader antibody and T cell responses, because they contain the full set of viral proteins, rather than a single one such as spike. And unlike mRNA vaccines, which have to be stored at subzero temperatures, inactivated viruses requires no more than ordinary refrigeration.

If sinovac is so bad why did Brazil order 20 million more ????

Exclusive: Brazil to buy 20 million more doses of China's CoronaVac, governor says

Factcheck.

Sinovac vaccine will be given in 2 shots, 2nd shot is to be given 14 day after the 1st shot

1st shot +60% efficacy, after 2nd shot more than 90% efficacy.

Observation todate : the vaccine is effective from 6 to 9 months after the 2nd shot.
