Ooops! That's going to raise a lot of hackles! Though Antony's intentions are indeed noble, he's pretty much out of sync with reality! Does he for a moment think that Pakistan is going to vacate the areas that he says are forcibly occupied by Pakistan?

I would take is seriously when GOI initiates action on ground to walk the talk.otherwise such statements are like rituals and playing to the gallery like Pakistans celebrate Kashmir day in feb every year.

Not saying this for a long time doesnt mean they had changed their stance on something. Officially India always maintained Kashmir was an integral part of India, and that continues to be their stance even if it is not reiterated in parliamnet for a long time. The other statements on negotiation with Pak just prove that they are open to some solution. They can just never say that clearly in parliament as that would create a big problem for the party...although they know that this is just not possible to get the entire kashmir. Thus it is just a routine job for AK antony to say that Kashmir is an integral part of India..the statement is supposed to be reiterated once in a while each year for public consumption..this time its coming late.

You should first worry about former parts of Pakistan and would be former parts of Pakistan.. because unlike post independence India, paksitan has been partitioned already once
