Slaughtering is the word and it's not in Indian constitution -some states have restricted it - some states have restricted consumption of alcohol as well.

That means liberty is restricted somehow.

Reading Quran is mandatory for men and women. Women education was a taboo in South Asia including AF regardless of religion as far as I know. Rest of the world had no issue with that.

You got it wrong - the laws can be repealed or changed by popular mandate and it keeps happening - there are a few basic tenets that still agrees with present life which does not need tweaking and people have no problems with it, but the day they do it will be changed.

The constitution of the United States cannot be changed it can have amendments which add to it but the basic tenets cannot be changed and anytime the state or federal government tries to they are shot down by the supreme court.

Let me give you an example, many people say the US has a gun culture and the second amendment gave citizens the right to own guns. Now in the past the reason for this amendment was that if the government ever got out of line it was the job of the citizens to overthrow the government and if it came to violence the citizens would be able to fight back. Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers were influenced by John Locke greatly and they went by his reasoning when they put in this amendment. Now today people are running around with guns in the hundreds and use this amendment as their excuse to owning hundreds of guns they do not need which end up getting in the hands of some psycho who shoots up movie theaters. Now despite that and despite how many people die in the future because of these guns the feds and the states cannot remove this law no matter how much they may want to and even if they may be justified to do so.

Yes we do worry but those people have more resources than us currently and we can only change that by bettering ourselves. My sisters are both college educated and I realize they would not be afforded that opportunity in said countries. However I am not a citizen of those said countries and it is up to the people who are to stand up for change.
