Isn't the discussion between Pak-Indian members on this forum gives the answer to this question ?? Doesn't the hate & animosity showed here and in real life gives the perfect view point on LOC ????

What's the use of such topic which is gonna change into another mud swirling contest ????

This is the most practical solution but this would hardly be accepted by any country. The reason is:

(1) India considers whole region as its area. This approach would seriously question this stand.
(2) This is not benefecial for Pakistan either. This way, they won't have anything to complain about so-called "Indian occupation". Their refrendum stand would be in question as well.

Still this is only possible long-term solution for both India and Pakistan.

Added: This "over our dead approach" is followed by both nations. Therefore it is not going to solve soon.

Good Idea. India attack Sri Lanka. Occupy Half its area then make it as permanent border. Nice isn't it ?.

It already tried it with the so called IPKF and got clobbered - and now again the SL finished off the rebels depsite INida best efforts to retain a puppet element on the Island.

As for "attacking" and "occupying", it is India which is occupying Kashmir -witness the oppression they perpetrate in Indian occupied Kashmir - why are no foreign journalists allowed there? popular unrest in IOK...

No it wont i personally feel that the LOC should be the permanent border that's the only possible solution

very true but i dont think sentiments in India are that strong atleast 75% of the ppl will agree for the LOC as a permanent border. If it promises long lasting peace btw India & Pakistan.
