Should india talk directly to pakistani army?

How can Pakistan army talk with India? There is no such protocol. President talks with President, PM talks with PM and FM talks with FM. And a General talks with a General.
It should be that India can send its General to Pakistan to talk with our COAS or he could be invited by the Indian Commanding General for talks.

Well, Pakistan's Army personnel can man some of those posts that can directly talk to the Indian civils. Has happened before - can happen later too. For two warring factions to unite faster, you need a common enemy (Not USA ). The way I see it, the common enemy for you guys is corruption of the highest levels and poverty. If you can work towards common goals (like EU does) it helps in building trust for other issues.

decision taking is not their job... why Indian army... why not top beurocrat .. why not head of medical board of India...
these are professionals whose job is to do what told. They implement the decision and sometimes give advice/influence govt.

How the response to a specific situation, is govt's job... sometimes govt may decide not to use force at it does not want to escalate..
for example during kargil..govt decided not to cross LOC so as not to escalate conflict..

GoI did not let chinese do the incursion... they responded in a measured way... and escalated slowly... and it worked..
indo china border does not see fighting (unlike indo pakistan border).. and India should not be the first one to start...

Pakistani army is the biggest stakeholder when it comes to india policy but can we bring them to the talking table ?

Some analyst suggested that with india, pak army is reluctant to come to table talks ,why is that?
