Sir, actually it's not easy. The Britishers while discussion in some other forum pointed out that unlike Sea harriers which took of from even merchant ships during the Falklands war, f35 would not be able to do so for the reason the sheer amount of thrust it produces, so if sea harrier had difficulty in landing and taking of with its load, I think it might be possible to operate them from destroyers with large enough deck but it would be impractical for Indian navy do to so.

Why not just stick DSI on everything Mig-21, SU-30, Hind, ect? It will make it super stealthy, remember anything that has DSI is automatically "superior" for some reason. Just scrap Rafale and the pak-fa, its time to focus on making a giant flying DSI thingy.

Be careful the Russians might try to steal your car to examine that DSI technology, from what i am told they can not master building a bulge in front of an intake.

The US needs India as a buffer against the biggest super power China. To this end, the US should give F-35 to India just like the US gives F-35 to Israel.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but if US offers it to India, it might be as adding another member to the program and bring down Unit costs and am not sure if India is looking it that way considering FGFA program.
Do experts really see any Fifth generation fighter other than J-20 (& some of its derivatives) in region that might require India to think beyond FGFA.
I guess at this point of time, 130 odd fleet of FGFA should be more than enough for any kind of threat perception in region for India.
& besides i don't think there is a budget to accommodate FGFA, MMRCA and another Gen V machine. It simply would be too costly.

J-10B has the same tail and tail EW as Rafale, much better than those of J-10A.

Any information on J10B's AESA Radar (capabilities pov)?

It will be interesting to see PAF reaction , if India deal the sign ... but anyway still long time ahead in front of them ...
but either its Rafale or F-35 for IAF ... it will certainly dis balance the entire region

Theoretically yes but It will never happen in real life.

As @Ankit Kumar 001 said if it can take off from larger flight deck then why not built a destroyer with F35 in mind ? If possible It will great addition to destroyers combat range.

But anyway we will have 4 Helicopter carriers. So F35 might get into IN airwing very possible .

It really depends on how you look at things.
If nothing worthwhile is decided in the next 3-4 years regarding FGFA.
Then India should keep their options open with F-35.

Threads not about the JF-17. Why would the F-35 purchase affect you?

On topic: India could do a lot worse than the F-35. 20 billion for 126 rafaele is pretty close to what the F-35s would cost you. You're getting a 5th generation fighter instead of 4++.
