Do you actually have aerodynamic test data from the both aircraft to make such a claim? Of course not, so why even make such a dumb claim?

J-10B is a much newer design than Rafale. Rafale was designed in the 1980s. J-10B was designed in the 2000s and has DSI second jet that has DSI after JF-17.

if EMALS package goes through with IAC2 then options for IN as part of packaged deal would be either of US Super Hornets F18 NG or carrier version of F35 - F35C. Since the hornet program and its line is coming to close in 2017, the chances of it being offered and rejected as was in MMRCA too is very very high. This leaves only F35C as potential packaged product with EMALS. Certainly you can see close to 60-80 F35C or may be max 100 (including shore based or for IAC3 too) as part of the EMALS package . These would be off the shelf and at best if US and the F35C program members really agrees we may get Kit assembly but i believe it would be off the shelf only.

The numbers can be guessed only but if IAC2 is 65k tonnes then about 3 squadrons or 45-60 bird a surety. In case its bigger then may be 80-100.. (super carrier nuke powered)

Again, what US may find very challenging is if IN also prefers Rafale M as part of commonality program if MMRCA winner Dassault rafale signs the contract of 126 birds. such a case the whole rafale deal may get to a massive 200-250 birds size as 126+63+45~60 ===234-249 ~250 birds. This may tilt IN to look at rafale M to ease its operational cost and training needs....

That does not make it better. There are aircraft designed in the 1970s that are aerodynamically superior then many aircraft designed in the 1980s or 1990s. Again how specifically is the J-10 a better design when the Rafale has superior range and payload?

And how does this DSI make the J-10 a better aircraft? Name one thing it does that just blows the Rafale out of the water. DSI is just a way to divert airflow into the intake, the Rafale also diverts air into its intake.

Sir, F-35 will bring no advantage to Indian Air force or Navy or industrial capability over Mmrca and Pmf project. Nor the Indian administration looks interested in it at the moment. USA can best improve the relations by sharing jet engine tech.

The US needs India as a buffer against the biggest super power China. To this end, the US should give F-35 to India just like the US gives F-35 to Israel.

We dint need F35 when we have lots of 5th generation fighter projects going on . May be I like to have 1 F35+ 1 ASW Helo on next generation Indian Destroyers . It's will increase our reach and combat radius
