Should conscription be made compulsory for Pakistani youth?

I dont know, also a very effective civil defence was also closed or marginalized in late 60s.

Well one get some sort of physical training in schools i guess.
Its not about money ........its about need for it and other issues.
Army is doing good job......no need for civilian to fight in the war......and also extremism runs deep in Pakistani society it might can have negative impact on internal security of Pakistan.......its very easy for militant organistations like TTP to get young Pakistanis do their dirty works........guess with military training that will be a nightmare for Pakistani administration to deal with them.......

Well with all these natural calmities going on...India should have this ...it will prepare the youth and allow India to mobilize in emergency. It will be useful because it keeps folks aware and maybe even help in the war on terror. At the same time, it will allow the military to pick out the best and brightest and try to entice them to join public rather then private service.
