People seen taking breakfast at roadside restaurants as authorities turn blind eye

Islamabad: Meanwhile, despite sharp increase in number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan, shops, restaurants and small markets remained open on Monday in Karachi, Lahore and other big cities of the country in violation of the lockdown. On Monday, Pakistan reported 3,530 confirmed cases of coronavirus with Punjab recording more than 1,700 cases, Sindh around 1,000, KP 405 and Balochistan 192. So far, 52 deaths have been reported countrywide while 257 are recovered.

In provincial capital of Sindh, the shops in Hussianabad, Ayesha Manzil, Gulistan-e-Johar, Liaquatabad, Tariq Road, Saddar and other areas of Karachi were serving the customers against the government’s directives.

Large number of families and general public were seen taking breakfast at roadside restaurants, sipping tea and enjoying food there.

In Lahore, too, main markets in Gulberg, Anarkali and Fortress Stadium remained open and the authorities turned a blind eye to them. In Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Peshawar and Sukkur too, reports of violation of lockdown were received.

Thanks for quoting. So looks like pretty much the same across the country.

People of this nation are really corrupt and stupid to the core in masses due to illiteracy and no use of common sense.

Can’t people stay inside for a month instead of opening everything now and then BOOM, For the next 18 months, The epidemic in Pak will wipe out every small and big business as people get panicked by suffering from virus and no hospitals to accommodate their stupid ignorant bodies.

Just f*cking 25 days and things can get better, but NO.

Kon samjhaen in Jahilon ko

Yes, people are f*cking stupid
If these 'Jahils' have no bread, they should eat cake!! ..
Stupid ignorant people
Sahi kaha, kaun samjhay in jahilon ko ...

Stop hating the poor .. Not everyone is as privileged as you (and some others) are

in Lahore there's normal life.. other than buses every traffic is up and running... and typical people with two females om back seat with a kid of petrol tank..
they think wearing mask is good enough...they're roaming like normal days just a few hv masks on them

indian police way of handling lockdown is needed here too... i can see people traveling a lot without any "extreme" necessity... stop them beat them up and send them home so they nvr come out again for a month

they also put our lives in danger, who are making sure the supplies of medicine to hospitals..in these disastrous conditions

Yes, Many are hungry people.

But I know these “Ghareeb Awam” from very close, They are more of a R*n*i rona type instead of legit bhookay.

Even plumbers of Karachi make around 30k and nothing less a month, You really think they don’t save up money ?

Yes, poor are there, Daily wages workers also have their wages higher than many fresh professionals such as 1000-1800 per day (not talking about those unfortunate people who are paid 200-400 a day).

If anything, It is the provincial government that isn’t sincere even now.

only those shops are open which govdrnment of punjab has allowed to open. In lahore people mostly remains in home.
At 6 pm , its all silent in my area

Lahore is mostly silent -- I don't know which markets are open as claimed by some people here.
