What's new

Shohda-e-Lanjot (14 Martyrs of Indian Brutality @ Lanjot Village Azad Kashmir)

This was the only way to teach lesson after all.Because such incidents would have been expected to rise.Plus,UN won't be able to do anything due to stubborn attitude of another nuclear state.
However,to show mirror sometimes, these events must be addressed.
Regards
Un is a pansy useless org.

no we avenged them... crossed the LOC n came back with indian heads....
No pleasure greater than that

Nothing like this has even been reported in Indian or other international media. Looks like media from both sides jacks up stories like this

Illusionary skills again at work ......
Let for a minute assume this story is true.

So Did Pakistan raise the issue of this alleged raid by India, at UN or any international level.

If not?... why??
@Geralt
The blog post narrates events detailed in Dawn and some Indian outlets (details might vary)
Praveen Swami has reported on the incident from the Indian perspective. His sources are from the Indian Military, and some twisted and uncorroborated justification for the massacre is provided, but he does confirm the massacre itself.

A certain (retired?) Indian major called Lemontree, who is a moderator on WAB, confirmed the massacre in a public exchange with me on WAB as well, though he too provided some twisted justification for the deliberate commission of war crimes by the IA.

Is that the reason why Ilyas Kashmiri led a raid to capture Indian soldiers and behead them? I might be getting my news mixed up but that's what some fan boys of Ilyas Kashmiri said.

You are right.

If kashmiris hadnt taken revenge themselves then these pansy indians wud have repeated these cowardly acts
I cant believe they can go so far. And it is for this decapitating them bloody intruders' heads is the thing that taught them lessons for the future. I am so glad we took the revenge

Why not official protest registered against India that time... ?
@levina
What official protests ever gave us?

The Indian Special forces known as "Black Cat" attacked Aazad Kashmir in the area of Lanjoot, they took control of a Pakistani village and spent a whole night there and martyred 14 innocent people.

This is pure savagery! Barbaric animals have so much hatred for Muslims. What was our Army doing all night, playing cards? They are also to blame for this terrorism. SICK!

Yeah my child.. the incident happened in early 2000s... your LN and his frnds were beheaded last year...and india claimed it was Border Action Team of Pakistan.. while the indians were "Sleeping" ..than changed the statement that they were in the "lou" etc etc..

Your gay source is "defence lover" .. the fake NIC (which you claim belonged to a "Terrorist" has been posted 2 trillion times before in other threads...

So please piss off.

Massacre in Lanjot: Protest day observed in AJK
By Our Correspondent

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 28: Protest day was observed on Monday across the Azad Jammu and Kashmir to express indignation against the recent massacre of 14 people in Lanjot village by Indian troops.

Rallies and demonstrations were held on the fourth consecutive day. Shops and business centres remained closed till noon. Traffic was very thin on roads.

The strike call was given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).

Indian troops on Thursday night sneaked into the Lanjot village in district Kotli and slaughtered 14 people, including six women, and five children.

In Muzaffarabad, two demonstrations were held to condemn the incident.

The main rally was held outside the old civil secretariat. The demonstrators, including political workers, students, government servants and Kashmiri refugees, were holding black flags and wearing black arm bands to protest the Indian brutalities in the held Kashmir and AJK.

They were also holding banners and placards, inscribed with slogans against Indian aggression and terrorism demanding India to quit Kashmir.

The rally was addressed among others by the acting AJK prime minister Sahibzada Ishaq Zafar, APHC convener Syed Yousaf Naseem, secretary general Ghulam Mohammad Safi, MC(Q) leader MLA Ali Khan Chughtai, Jamaat-i-Islami held Kashmir leader Ghulam Nabi Noshehri, Tehreek-e-Jafria leader Mufti Kifayat Hussain Naqvi, secretary Kashmir Liberation Cell Sardar Sawar Khan, deputy chief organizer of PPAK, Shoukat Javed Mir, human rights activist Hamayun Zaman Mirza and Rana Shabbir Rajourvi.

Speaking on the occasion the acting PM said that the Indians had gone mad after failing to curb the popular freedom movement in held Kashmir. Massacre of innocent people was an ample proof of India's frustration, he said.

He called on the world community to take serious notice of the Indian barbarism. He declared that the people of Azad Kashmir would not stop their support to their freedom-seeking brethren across the LoC.

He urged President Clinton to not only visit Pakistan during his South Asia tour but also visit the Azad Kashmir and Indian occupied Kashmir to see the state of repression let loose by New Delhi against Kashmiris.

Mr Clinton must bear in mind that all of his efforts to establish peace in the region would not succeed until and unless the longstanding Kashmir problem was resolved, he said. Convener of the AJK chapter of the APHC, Syed Yousaf Naseem said the people of Kashmir would frustrate Indian designs and achieve their goal of freedom, come what may.

Other speakers also castigated India and said such cowardice acts would not deter the people of Kashmir from their mission.

Later, the participants of the rally marched to UN military observers office and delivered a memorandum to the UN officials. The students and teachers of the Sehaili Sarkar Higher Secondary School took out a rally. At the UN observers' office, the principal of the Girls Degree College, Ms Hameeda Zafar and two other teachers delivered a protest note addressed to the UN chief Kofi Annan.

Members of the Central Union of Journalists, led by Wahid Iqbal Butt, Sardar Zulfikar Ali and Ms Amira Batool, staged a sit-in outside the UN observers' office.

Sardar Zulfikar asked the UN observers to convey the sentiments of the journalist community to the UN chief. They demanded the world body to stop the bloodbath in Kashmir.

MIRPUR: Protest day was also observed here. People belonging to all segments of society came to the streets in Mirpur to express resentment against the act of terrorism by the Indian troops.

A large number of people, including doctors, lawyers, para medical staff, businessmen, government employees, brought out processions from different parts of the city.

The processionists were raising slogans against mounting terroristic activities by India in the border areas and continued human right abuses in occupied Kashmir. They also demanded for early grant of right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir.

All the processions later converged into a protest rally at the district courts promises.
