One thing is clear she was not arrested by male police.

Secondly she was not beaten

She resisted arrest and could have asked for a lawyer .

So PTI social media narrative is not right here

We don't know if sbe was beaten or not, what happened at the detention center, we don't know yet.

Also, that arrest was probably unlawful. There are corruption charges against numerous politicians who don't even show up in court, but yet this bogus corruption charge, without any hearing or case, was enough to hunt her down, force her car to stop, and forcefully take her away without any notice or reasonable clause.

That's kidnapped, not an arrest, and the Punjab police was used like tissue paper here.

Why are you so naive? Maryum Nawaz completely owned the arrest in her press conference. And it's hamza Sharif who ordered her release from the department which comes under govt. Army has nothing to do with this incident else she would had not got released this early. Severe media blacklash lead to her release. Even pro pdm channels were speaking against the arrest.

I would believe this is as per law if the Sharifs were handled like this as well, but they get the privilege of years long hearings, and bails to leave at will when a sentence is announced.
