All those who try to remove rationality from Islam are bound to be misguided. Removing rationality from Islam means opposing Islam. Instances of man's tendency towards idolatry, man worship, diverse superstitions and credulity regarding the influence of irrational things over destiny, can be witnessed even in the lives of world intellectuals. All this originates from spiritual vacuum. Islam is supposed to fill the ideological and intellectual vacuum with sound teachings and can save one from a tendency towards absurdities and irrationalities. Hence, true understanding of religion is needed to combat superstitions, though it is true that even religion itself, if not understood correctly, may promote superstitions.

Ahlesunnat in indo pak have done a great work on Islam that is even appreciated by Arabs. Yeah some clowns were produced too but overall the product was good. If it wouldn't then we might have never seen fitnas like qadyanis getting contained in this region. It is obviously Ahlesunnat who stopped qadyanis

That is true but is this anywhere near enough? Most molvis have turned our beautiful Islam into a business. I blame the public for this. When people can't practice their religion properly, they rely on shortcuts. This opens an opportunity for sellout molvis to earn cash from gullible people. Consequently, this gives birth to peers, mystics and taweez etc. These bastard sellouts have created an entire industry for themselves by robbing and misguiding gullible folks.

A great majority of top scholars of indo Pak have condemned the things that you mentioned in your post. Nobody here agrees with the things that you mentioned in your post like peer faqeers etc. Yeah there are few black sheeps who should be condemned but not the whole clergy of ahlesunnat should be painted by the same brush

Hadrat ‘Ali narrates that the Holy Prophetsa said: ‘A time will come in the near future when there will be nothing left of Islam except its name. And there will be nothing left of the Holy Qur’an except its words [meaning the Holy Qur’an would not be understood and followed].
