When the Sunni forces defeat Assad and the Alawites, will they destroy Shia shrines in Syria?

There's that important shrine for Shias, I forget the name - but if Hezbollah are chased out and Sunnis have these in their possession, it could end in tears.

Iran would be hopping mad.

I'm annoyed with the Metwalis at the moment. I just watched a video of some anti-war demonstration in London, when some dog who I knew was Iranian as soon as I saw him, (despite having a British accent) was talking about "their options" to attack Israelis around the world in response to American strikes on Syria.

And these dogs are allowed to live in the UK whilst spouting such vileness.

Iranis have really turned into awful, awful people. Fanatics poisoned by their regime.

. . .
Cousin, we Sunni Arabs have been safe-keepers of this Sayyidah Zaynab (ra) "tomb" for 1300 years. Why would that suddenly change? She is buried in Cairo anyway but don't tell that to the Shias here. Only according to "Shia tradition" she is buried in Damascus.

Also it is only a recent phenomenon so to speak:

The tomb became a center of Shia religious studies in Syria and a destination of mass pilgrimage by Shia Muslims from across the Muslim world, beginning in the 1980s. The zenith of visitation normally occurs in the summer. The present-day mosque that hosts the tomb was built in 1990.[1]

Only people with a certain agenda are making such conspiracy theories.

All of that is only propaganda used by radical Shias to somehow have a legitimacy to support a Child-Murderer and Pagan (Al-Assad).

Thanks for the info bro.

Is Sayyidah Zaynab also holy to Sunnis?

I worry for the Shia in the region. I feel they're heading for trouble with their folly.

Let us hope holy places are respected.

Not "holy". Just revered/respected because she belongs to the household of Prophet Muhammad (saws). Shias have this screwed idea that we Sunnis who form 90% of all Muslims don't revere the Ahl al-Bayt. When this is even part of regular Muslim prayers.

They even have a word for it. "Nasibi". A crazy bunch indeed who are making life difficult for themselves in the region and Muslim world.

Most don't cause a problem. It is always only a minority. You know those influenced by Mullahistan and the Qum Hawza which divers from the traditional and highest Shia Twelver Hawza in the Arab world (Najaf).

He is a Shia Twelver Arab himself.

Not entirely sure who you're referring to :cheesy: . I am not anti-shia as such, but increasingly I am seeing Iranians and Shias becoming more and more extreme as the pressure builds on them.

I watched a video today of a so-called 'British' man who happened to have Iranian parents, talk about targeting Israelis all over the world in case of an American strike on Syria.

I have seen on these forums the Shia getting more extreme with their language.

Iran and its people are out of control.

Holy places are sacred for every human being irrespective of which religion they belong to, they should not be involved in any war leave aside being destructed

Well, I actually agree with many of his points. We can have good relations with such Shia Arabs. Not the Mullah's in Mullahistan though. We share nothing with them.

Don't worry about Doritos11. He is not a Shia but an Sunni Iraqi Arab. But since Iraq is 60% Shia and has ties to Mullahistan (their Mullah "government") he is worried about the future.

So, Israelis now care about holy places while beating the crap out of Palestinians in Al-Aqsa mosque every once in a while? What more surprises do you have for us?

Only 2 things are out of control in ME, rogue policies of Israel and extremist zealots who wouldn't waste one second to kill people with different ideology than theirs.

I'm not a religious guy here but as long as I know Shiism is and ( has been ) based on struggle and remonstrance since it's existence , So whenever Shiism is there is struggle and remonstrance as well no matter if that's Qom , Najaf or even LA .
