Shameful media coverage of the Nigerian massacre

No one is expecting the international media to go their and fight out boko haram
But the massacre..the victims plus the incompetent response of the Nigerian govt. deserve much more attention

As long as the massacre is not confirmed, at most one can only say it might have happened, which has already been done. The next step is the confirmation. Where is it?

As many as 2000 people are feared to be killed in a massacre committed by Boko Haram militants in Nigeria.
Most of the victims are thought to be women and children .
Now my condolences are with the families of those killed in Paris .
Nothing justifies what was done to them and they need to be remembered .

What is shameful is the attitude of world'd media with regards to the Nigerian massacre .
I mean here we are talking about almost 2000 people killed including children and it is presented as a secondary story to what happened in Paris.
On the homepage of major news outlets we can see the faces of the Paris attack victims and read their life stories...
Don't those children who were killed in Nigeria deserve that...its horrifying to think what they would be going through in their last moments !
I guess they just had bad luck...being born in 3rd world African country....killed because they weren't strong enough to get away...It is truly sad that their cold blooded murders weren't even worthy of getting our attention.

P.S: Again my thoughts are with those killed in Paris....i just believe the numbers alone merited that the story in Nigeria deserved getting more space!

Yes~ because the west is the dominant cultural sphere in the world right now. Even in your own country, something that happened close to capital region (dominant in economy, culture, and politics) will get more attention than those happened around border region. I think Nigeria is heading towards a Christian-Muslim Partition like that of Sudan-South Sudan. I do not understand why Christians are not pushing for it even though Boko-Haram is wrecking Havoc in Nigeria. They would end up with All of Nigeria's Oil in South and North Nigeria would end up with Boko-Haram.

Everyone would be happy.

Nigeria got oil ! and there is boko haram , syria got oil and there is isis and afghanistan ?? We had firm support from USSR that is why we managed to escape from it and we dont have oil resources.

Death cant be even confirmed.
That area where shooting take place had a former army camp.
But after Boko's raid it they begin to attack villagers with RPG,Machine gun ,Grenade etc.Govt is still finding bodies from bushes and forest.Toll would be greater than this.But at least 2000 is seems sure.
