Death cant be even confirmed.
That area where shooting take place had a former army camp.
But after Boko's raid it they begin to attack villagers with RPG,Machine gun ,Grenade etc.Govt is still finding bodies from bushes and forest.Toll would be greater than this.But at least 2000 is seems sure.

Without confirmation, it is impossible to judge the response or the coverage.

Its got plenty of coverage in the UK so im not sure what your on about and its hard to really confirm anything although with isalmists involved its bound to be bad. Also African wars dont get that much coverage, news means new information and sadly Africans killing Africans isnt particularly new.
