I think pakistan will give good fight to all the teams in the group. Indian wickets are good for batting and if pakistan can put decent score on board and bowl second they can beat any team. Also India won last 10 games and they bound to loose few. So we never know how the things pan out.

Well it is cricket and anything can happen. So yes. Pakistan can surprise too. But honestly speaking Pakistan has very little chance in this world cup. There is very little chance of Pakistan beating anyone else other than Bangladesh. Beating India, Australia and NZ is simply beyond this team. Batting line is simply pathetic. There are walking wickets in this team. You don't even need a good bowler to get rid of our top batsman. Sharjeel is a walking wicket. Ahmed Shehzad is another hack. Hafeez didn't look to be in form whole Asia Cup. Umar can always throw his wicket. Afridi is finished with batting. Only positive is bowling but here too spin department is too weak. Afridi is not the same bowler as he was a few years ago. There is no Saeed Ajmal or Hafeez. Imad wasim might trouble batsman but that won't be enough of a support to our fast bowlers like Amir or Irfan. Wahab is inconsistent.

So all in all. This is the worst Pakistani team ever to participate in any world cup. But yeah. Let' hope these guys do well.

Best wishes for Pakistan team, but I'm too disappointed from this current team that I am not feeling like following this WC-T20. Haven't followed any match till date even though they are mostly qualifiers and warm ups. Just came to know that Pakistan today won a warm up against SL, checked score card and there you go Afridi scored another golden duck.

It's more than a video, it carries a deep message. I will not say much, Wasim Akram in the video has said enough for me. I am sick of this behavior by our people and Media. We abuse our heroes beyond a man can take this-so-called-criticism. I understand the team is failing, we need to support and respect him till the day he leads us. I feel sorry for him and the team, is it only their fault?
Our team should give their 100% on the field and try their best-that's all one can ask for. I can't guarantee they will win, but god damn it we need to respect our heroes. I bet if we do well in this World Cup Afridi will become the best-player in the world again. Pathetic behavior.
Moving on, we need to give him some room till the end of World Cup at least.

Bangladeshi pitches was supporting fast bowlers while spin is effective on Indian pitches so we definitely need two effective spinners on Indian pitches

T20 format is very unpredictable.
India which at the moment whole world is seeing as the perfect side without any weaks might not even make it to the next stage. Yes, that is also a given possibility given the format of this game.
That is why the list of top best teams of T20 is so topsy turvy .
If it was a 50-50 tournament i would have backed india more, but since its t20 one cannot say becoz even a single batsmen or a single bowler on his day can run away with the game.

So i wont write off pakistan yet, and so should not pakistanis. If i was a pakistani i would surely back up afridi. But given the nature of this country treality is that while the team readies for the tournament back home lawsuites are being filed against the captain just for saying he got love from india.

He was becoming a good match-winner. Check the Srilankan series out, and didn't do too bad in New Zealand series too. We need to give our players a proper go. Need to get our combo right.

No matter who is captain we should support our national team. Our weakest thing is batting and our strong point is bowling but Indian pitches support batsmen not the fast bowlers so safely i can say Cricket is a game of gambling, have very few positive things on hand. Miracles happen and we are waiting for that.

On top of that we have no genuine spinners in the team, with it generally being understood that fast bowlers get hit for big runs in India whereas spinners stand a better chance. Yesterday for example Imad Wasim took four wickets for 26 runs against Sri Lanka (although Afridi got hit big conceeding 40 in his four overs without any wicket). Still the selectors ignored Ajmal who performed very well in the PSL, as for Yasir Shah, he is still banned.
