U.S. has viewed wreckage of kamikaze drones Russia used in Ukraine​

The U.S. government has examined the wreckage of Iranian-made drones shot down in Ukraine, deepening its insight into the unmanned craft that Russia has launched in a spate of kamikaze attacks on the country’s critical infrastructure, according to two U.S. officials.

Information about the drones’ structure and technology could prove crucial in helping the United States and its Ukrainian allies better identify and ultimately defeat them before they can reach their targets. Officials said the process has been used in the past to study weaponry deployed by Iran’s proxies in conflicts in the Middle East. People interviewed for this report spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence collection.

usa has already inspected that drone in ksa .when one crash landed and fall in their hand completely intact . Not the first time their MANPADS have missed and been caught on camera..... it should also be noted that each Stinger missile costs around $120,000.... while the Shahed 136 costs perhaps $20,000...... so even if they shoot it down, they still lose

The question should be more like "why is it bad?" What does Iran have left to lose at this point? Not only does Iranian miltech get a name for itself, but Iran can test its weapons against NATO assets, and make improvements for future iterations. It also brings Iranian and Russian military industries closer, opening the door for expanded cooperation. Just look at the pro-Iran rhetoric on Russian Telegrams, if Iranian drones and BMs prove decisive then Russian FP will become more favourable towards Iran. The geopolitical aspects are obvious, if Russia is checkmated in Ukraine then NATO gets the booster shot it needs to confront Iran and China,
