I had two women approach me in a car outside of a general store in Pakistan and asked me for favors??

Its unfortunate on three accounts
1. a girl had faced harassment in a university
2. university failed to take action against culprit
3. Ombudsman on fired the culprit(should have been recommended and handed over to police for criminal case proceeding)

on the side notes
Its unfortunate to see girls and being harassed in Univerisities by the staff members and admin people. No university is immune from that. be it Lums, QAU, PU etc..
this issue is quite serious and HEC Govt has to take serious action on that. I propose that
1 Govt must conduct a survey on that issue that how many girls face harassment in universities
2 Set up an independent body in each institute with equal female an male representative not consisting of institute employees, Both female and male student re[resentive should sit int body.
3 immediate criminal action of curpits and incase of false accusations, accuser should face action.
4 keep religious people out of this topic
5 massive campaign to create awareness.
6 all fresh students must be taught about the harassment and measure to avoid it (a compulsory zero semester like class)

What needs to be done is teach the people about their basic rights (esp women)....Few months ago not many knew the power of their vote nor the effect of it...dharanas all over helped....

Some form of similar help is needed for people to know what CAN BE DONE & WHAT SHOULD BE DONE!

what about it? My intention was not to make it political but to give example of ways to educate masses! Not necessary as a dharna...but that def did educate masses on basic rights such as voting...

Women rights are also fundamental basic rights which people should respect and to respect they need to know what they are!

on topic : irrespective whether the girls report it or not, the one caught should be given an exemplary punishment, and when a girl does report, she should be assured that her identity shall not be revealed so as to not "tarnish" her image and avoid creating a scene
