Seven US 'CIA agents' killed in Afghanistan bomb attack

For all those chalking off the suicide bomber's uniform as a mere disguise, this is for you:

BBC News - Afghan CIA bomber 'was courted as potential informant'

It turns out, the CIA bomber was courted as an informant. It was obviously bad handling of the situation that led to this incident. You win some, you lose some. Not a big fan of the CIA, but I really like to see the Taliban gone and hopefully Americans can bomb more of them than the other way round, and stop courting Talibani terrorists.

Turns out its the Taliban that were courted by America who turned around and bombed them, not really the ones courted by Pakistan.

We just had Bakra Eid in Pakistan, scapegoats are in short supply :).

. . .
Supposedly someone from Pakistan did claim responsibility, but its the TTP (whom we are attacking and killing) than the Haqqani network that everyone in the US so casually claims to be our divorce child with the Taliban for whom we have to foot childcare bills

tehran times : Bloody start of decade in Afghanistan

According to report by The Associated Press the Pakistani Taliban, Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP), claimed responsibility for the Wednesday’s attack saying that the bomber, a member of the group working for the Afghan army, was wearing army uniform when he managed to breach security at the base, detonating his explosive belt in the gym.

Certainly keep using PREDATOR and maybe expand it into new regions. That'll work for now.
Why you believe so? BTW....PREDATOR is not the only force US have operating inside Pakistan.
What are you going to do about that?
This does not sound like an inquiry to me! am i right mr.?

IMO...the unfortunate event seems more like an inside job to me.
All US need is to be sincere, with its own people and wider world.

. .
"Same goes for Pakistan too. Incase the predetors area of operation is expanded further towards the urban suburbs ..."

If suburbs are where you harbor our enemies, sure. Your resistance, should it become open, will likely lead to a complete break of relations between Pakistan and America. I presume that'll include ISAF and the U.N. as well.

It is from sanctuary which Pakistan provides that war is made on Afghans, the U.N., ISAF, and America. These are your proxies and, in truth, the tools by which Pakistan makes war NOW upon the west.

This is understood by the west. They desire to coax Pakistan away from this position as it can only lead to war. Pakistan believes that it can soak the west and still have its way in Afghanistan. Perhaps more than ever.

I encourage Pakistan to shoot down PREDATOR if they are eager to accelerate the demise of their relationship with America. In that they surely shall. Were there no sanctuaries on your ungoverned lands and no agreements between you and men like Haqqani, PREDATOR wouldn't be necessary nor justified.

Because these men are there, so too PREDATOR. It's no more foreign than they are and far less demanding.

Thanks.:usflag:

So in other words the yanks ARE courting the TTP!

I wouldn't go that far since the intent was probably to court some of them and then blow up the rest of them, but they did do a bad job of it all. OR there is nothing that solidly points towards that assertion (although the speculation has been there, but Americans did redeem themselves with the Baitullah Mehsud hit).

Americans for all their bickering about the deals Pakistan made with militants to squeeze out some advantage or the other, have been consorting with no less amount of Talibanis, only they don't come out and say it.

Whatever works, just don't act holier than thou oh so many times.

Sir, the BM strike was by mistake on part of the Americans as they had no idea, and a right one on part of us as we provided the information to the right person. Hope you understand what i mean. :)

And as for TTP trying to take claim, that is absurd. The Afghan guys already took the responsibility. TTP is trying to show that their fighters have gone over the border and attacking americans there, to contain the damage they have suffered. Same thing happened, one commander calls up and takes responsibility for Karachi bombings, then the other one calls and says no we did not do it, and says the other commander did this on its own. Whether on its own or not, he is part of TTP and the claim falls on them all.

Damn whos gonna date the their girlfriends now?All the dudes they were dating are getting killed in Afghanistan fighting War on Terror...

CIA swears revenge for Afghan attack

Sense Of Betrayal In US Admn; Bomber May Have Been A ‘Source’ Who Turned Rogue

Chidanand Rajghatta | TNN

Washington: The CIA has sworn to avenge the killing of seven of its operatives by a suicide bomber at a forward operating base (FOB) close to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, including that of the female base chief who was a mother of three children.

Great fury and a sense of betrayal is sweeping through the US administration, the military, and the intelligence agencies as details emerge of the horrific massacre, said to be the agency’s biggest single loss after eight agents were killed in the infamous Beirut bombing in 1983.
“There are plenty of people here who are capable and willing to make sure that these people will be avenged,” a US intelligence official said. “This attack will be avenged through successful, aggressive counterterrorism operations.”

Within hours of the massacre, there were two US drone attacks inside Pakistan, killing, according to initial accounts, five suspected terrorists. The attacked FOB named Chapman, close to the ****** border near Khost, was said to be a nerve centre of CIA covert ops including drone strikes and special forces infiltration.

Meanwhile, there is much anger and hand-wringing in Washington over what appears to be another monumental security ****-up days after the so-called “undie-bomber” nearly succeeded in blowing up a commercial airliner in Detroit last week and weeks after the Fort Hood massacre. In both cases, there were red flags that seemed to have been ignored.

In this case, a Taliban operative or sympathizer wearing an Afghan army uniform is said to have walked into FOB Chapman without any security check and detonated his suicide vest exactly at a time when there were maximum personnel around him. There is some confusion over whether the suicide-bomber was an Afghan soldier or not. The Taliban
claimed he was a “valorous soldier” of the Afghan army but the Afghan army and government spokesman in Kabul say that is not true.

But it appears that the CIA may have been cultivating him as a source, which is how he was able to enter the complex and getting in pretty deep — he detonated the vest in a basement gym — without any screening.

One account said it was the first time the ‘source’ had been brought to the FOB and a specialized debriefer had been flown in from Kabul for the session with the ‘source’. In either case, the attack has furthered the mistrust between the Afghan army and the Americans who are supposed to be their mentors.

In Washington, officials from President Obama down wrote commiserating letters to the CIA, the lobby of whose headquarters in Langley bears 90 stars carved in marble, each dedicated to an operative who has fallen in the line of duty. Most of them remain unnamed and unknown to the public. At least five more will be added to the memorial wall now because two of the seven who fell in the latest attack are believed to been contract employees attacked to the security firm Xe services, previously known as Blackwater.

In a letter to the agency, Obama mourned the deaths of “patriots” who he said had made great sacrifices. “The US would not be able to maintain the freedom and security that we cherish without decades of service from the dedicated men and women of the CIA. You have helped us understand the world as it is, and taken great risks to protect our country. You have served in the shadows, and your sacrifices have sometimes been unknown to your fellow citizens, your friends, and even your families,” he wrote.

The initial finger of suspicion in this case points to the Haqqani faction, which is backed by the Pakistan military and intelligence and which is credited with attacks on the Indian Embassy in Kabul.

. .
The loss of life is regrettable. May allah give their families the strength to carry on and to heal from what they have suffered.

CIA is an advocate of devil, they got so much blood on their hands.

Praying for invaders so they can rape, plunder and bomb people of Afghanistan dosn't makes sense.

When you walk into someone's house, get expect to shot.
