Very much so. This area is close to Angoor Adda, a valley that leads into Afghanistan from north Waziristan. If one can recall, there was a dispute between ANA and PA when we wanted to put close this entrance in the area. TTP terrorists attack with full support of ANA and NDS, using Afghanistan territory against Pakistan. There is little moral ground for them to demand anything from us in such context.

It wasn't a physical raid. Was cross border heavy weapon attack. Possibly a barrage of mortars and rockets

Artillery is not precision guided so it is not effective in guerilla warfare.

I see so these areas are under Afgan control ,the reason I asked was many on the forum sound as if Afganistan is only secure in major cities rest is in talibans control.
What do they achieve supporting terrorists. Afg-Pak should work something out before both of you start hating like Indians and Pakistanis do.

No guard can save anyone, they r humans not computers or robots. There is a limit of alertness.

If Pakistan military had real balls they could have minned and fenced the border like how indians r doing in LOC or Israelis have done in west bank. But then again our military is basically afraid of Panchery Militia called ANA.

They achieve nothing except mayhem in their country. They have limited resources in terms of military. Better to use them against Taliban. But only if someone could make them understand. Pakistan has cleanse large parts from terrorists. These attacks are sad but not detrimental to us. Afghanistan on the other hand has much to loose by sheltering terrorists. They will eat her from inside completely.

Have you seen that area? It is not possible to fence that area at least in near future. There aren't enough resources either to put up a fence there.
