No.

We’d have millions of new innocent people in jail if we decided to lock up the families of every LeJ, TTP, JuA, DAesh or ZeB militant.
yeah we should wait until they start giving scientists to the society .

You do this with the TTP/JuA and put millions of innocent tribesmen in jail and you can be sure that you’ll have a Pashtun revolt on your hands. As it is the Afghans and PTM are already trying to leverage the repercussions from the war against the TTP against Pakistan and stoke separatism - imprison millions of Pashtun and you just gave the Afghans and PTM a huge gift for their divisive agenda.

This is the result of fancy "ziyarat tourism" from Pakistan to Iran and Iraq.
Ah, so by your rationale the TTP/Daesh must be the result of Hajj/Umrah tourism to Saudi Arabia.

Let's dispense with the sectarian nonsense before people start getting banned.

Writ of our state is weak. Any terrorist group can organize itself and find recruits, be they Sunni, Shia, or Salafi.

Let's not only pin the blame on one group of Pakistanis. Creating divisions among Pakistanis are one of the enemy's goals.

Most Pakistanis, regardless of sect, had a soft corner for the Iranians, whom we viewed as our allied neighborly Muslim brothers.

The reality in Afghanistan and Chahbahar (and now Oman) showed us that they are firmly in the Indian boat.

Pakistan has finally come out of this one-sided brotherhood, let's not fall into more traps. All Pakistanis were duped.
Shia are more belief-oriented and eschatology-oriented than the others on average.

Iranian Ayatollah is a Holy Figure to Shia at large (around the world). His surmons/calls are likely to sway minds of Shia in any country including in Pakistan. This is a matter of grave concern because Iranian Regime have created multiple Shiite militias in different countries to advance its controversial goals in the Middle East.

There might be many Pakistani Shia who do not care about Iranian Ayatollah but Pakistani establishment must keep an eye on Iranian efforts to infiltrate and exploit Pakistani nationals for its ends. This is not good for Pakistan in the long-term otherwise. WE cannot afford another TTP type chapter in Pakistan.

You are "agnostic", why you even care about "religious" issues.

I agree that the family of the man must not be jailed but they should be WARNED and/or ADDRESSED as to dissuade any family member from serving foreign entities.

What warning are you going to give them when the guy has already joined a militant organization?

What we really need is preemptive information but, like argued earlier, such a system needs to be confidential and in the hands of dedicated Counter Terrorism organizations (NACTA/FIA/IB etc) that know how to deal with such situations and not turn into a tool used by relatives/enemies to malign a family through false accusations. You're not going to get cooperation unless people trust the system will not backfire if they report something suspicious and that if they are reporting suspicions (vs concrete knowledge) that the relative being reported will be investigated fairly.

Of-course, it is not mine or another's personal prerogative to attempt to reason with the family of a militant. This is the responsibility of anti-terrorism state institutions.

Although I do believe that the Government of Pakistan (GOP) should consider VALUES-BUILDING initiative for the Public. Pakistan really needs this.

Public Service Messages in the media (TV, social media etc) as well as the use of the pulpit in mosques belonging to all sects to warn against such actions.

Deport where?

His homeland is Pakistan.

Lets stay away from the sensationalist allegations over one guy. How many tens of thousands of Pakistans joined TTP/JuA/Daesh and how many tens of thousands fought as 'Mujahideen' against the Soviets in Afghanistan or against the Indian occupation in Kashmir? Just because someone fights in a proxy war does not make them a rapist or war criminal.

The evidence will make it clear.

Why isn't this recruitment to terror organisations in general regarded as people trafficking or modern slavery? People are being brainwashed into fighting Iran's wars even though they are committing a crime in so doing and would rightly be arrested on return to Pakistan.

You can't draw parallels between Pakistanis fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan and these cases of daesh or Iranian proxies because support for the anti-Soviet forces was a state policy in Pakistan. We fought the Soviets as it was in our own national interests. Any Pakistani who fought in that conflict was a patriot.

The ones who run off to fight for daesh or irgc are traitors.
