Senior member of Pakistani group 'Zainebiyoun Brigade' fighting in Syria, Iraq arrested

No.
We’ve finally moved away from the colonial era collective punishment laws of the Tribal areas. The family should not be punished for the actions of the individual.

In general, most of these people who join militant/terrorist Group’s as foot soldiers are from poor/lower class backgrounds anyway and have very few assets to begin with. Making their families destitute by taking away what few assets they might have is not going to help with fighting radicalism & extremism.

FYI - since I’ve had to delete so many posts that violated a basic rule of not just this forum, but if basic decency & civility - let me reiterate that derogatory comments and/or generalizations about ANY faith, sect, culture, ethnicity, race etc will not be tolerated.

Most of you whose posts were deleted or edited on this thread are lucky to not have any warning points issued that might have resulted in bans.

Any further negative or derogatory comments about a community and warnings/bans will be given.

Really sick and tired of dealing with sectarian BS on this forum lately.
Wrong. The family always know. I know because we had s traitor in the family and we had to deal with him

Prove it in court that the family facilitated or supported XYZ terrorist group and even there, legally, only the facilitators should be targeted.

It’s one thing to know, it’s another to knowingly support & faciliate.

I’ve only deleted posts on this thread today. Not sure what you mean by deleting statuses - I haven’t deleted any profile statuses.

And my reasons for deleting posts on this thread are given in the post you quoted.

Why Posts which are talking about the Shia sect based Terror Outfit is been deleted ? ISIS AQ and Taliban are been associated with Sunni , and Salafi for decades in this very forum not just that but appreciated so why its ok to criticize one sect and not the other ? is this Forum run by Shia like our Media ?

Just as this forum will not tolerate ALL Sunni/Salafi/Wahabi being attacked for the actions of a few terrorists, we are not going to allow derogatory comments about ALL Shia for the actions of a few terrorists.

You want to talk about these individuals/terrorists and the role of Iran, absolutely go ahead, but don’t make it about Shia in general.

PS: Now I did delete your status. Please raise your concerns over moderation in GHQ.

I am glad our state is finally taking action against these foreign agents.

Shame on Iran.
I agree. If the Iranians need manpower for their proxy wars, they need to recruit locally in those countries or from within Iran. Recruiting from countries like Pakistan poses a serious national security risk to the countries of origin of these militants.

I would hope that the Pakistani government and military leadership has raised this issue with the Iranian government and continues to raise it till we get commitments that Iranian recruitment for these militant groups within Pakistan will stop.

And in the meantime how many have died....
If you know and you dont report it or take care of it then you are complicit.

The big question mark being IF. That needs to be established in court.

In general there needs to be a much better awareness campaign about people (family members and friends) reporting such incidents and possibly even a dedicated hot line for such complaints to be made anonymously, at the FIA or NACTA level. The lack of trust in the local police is not going to help with improved reporting.

People who do end up reporting will need to be treated with respect and confidentiality ensured, otherwise the reporting system will be perceived as just another way for a witch hunt or vendettas to be settled like 'blasphemy accusations'.

Some guy decides to go abroad for work and relatives or neighbors decide to accuse him of joining a 'militant group' so that his family is attacked and vilified and property seized and he has to run around courts for years to clear his/her name - we cannot have that.

According to Awan, Zaidi had confessed to committing several sectarian killings between 2007 and 2018.

So here is my question to all, specially to those who might have soft corner for Persians.

These guys were doing sectarian killings in Pakistan since 2007. What was the situation in Syria back in 2007? How these killers become "holly warriors" under the banner of Zainebyoun, the protectors of holly sites, under the patronage of Iran. On whose behest these lot were doing the killing around 2007? How these target killers got recruited by Persians for Syrian front?

As we say in Urdu.... "KOI SHAK?????"

So how exactly are you going to establish culpability if not through the courts?

Even the reporting system, as I said earlier, needs to be enacted with a lot of care and bypass local police force and not be turned into another 'Blasphemy Law' with people rotting in jail over false accusations.

Writ of our state is weak. Any terrorist group can organize itself and find recruits, be they Sunni, Shia, or Salafi.

Let's not only pin the blame on one group of Pakistanis. Creating divisions among Pakistanis are one of the enemy's goals.

Most Pakistanis, regardless of sect, had a soft corner for the Iranians, whom we viewed as our allied neighborly Muslim brothers.

The reality in Afghanistan and Chahbahar (and now Oman) showed us that they are firmly in the Indian boat.

Pakistan has finally come out of this one-sided brotherhood, let's not fall into more traps. All Pakistanis were duped.
