they are afraid of the fact that we can take them down slow and steady.... without going into main conflict,

I never said the US or the West is bankrupt. They can borrow into the future if they had a requirement to fund their wars. The question becomes that of the return. Whether or not the American public wants these wars to go on and would continue to support the current levels of funding. If this was a war for the American survival, they would definitely spend by borrowing more to do what is right for them. However I suspect, this is not the case.

As soon as the AMERICANS feel safe from another 9/11 OR WORSE they will leave the region.

I firmly believe there will be utter caos when they leave this region and iraq. AND the threat to USA the WEST and indeed india will be GREATER.

dont use paf in offensive but its the job of the paf to defend its aerial boundaries against any aggressors.usaf is much stronger but it doesnt mean that they should start bombing inside our territory on our troops n we will be just watching them doing so.this is a typical example of the psyche of the people of subcontinent.bend in front of any strong aggressor.pathetic approach.

Attacking a USAF chopper under any case is as good as declaring war on the US.
I think the way that Pakistan responded by closing the NATO supplies was the right thing to do, and should apporch the problem in diplomatic ways.

Well, the Iranians recently shot down a pretty sophisticated UAV. Did the US go to war with them? No. Just because USA is super power, does not mean they can freely fly where ever they want.

Any such decision by Pakistan will also have to keep in mind other hostile states in the region, their responses and the level of threat Pakistan faces from them. In other words, the issue is not just taking on the US Air Force and bearing the consequences of that decision but also determining the space such a decision would give to other hostile states and what advantage they could derive from such confrontation.

If he was talking about India then he's flat wrong! India at this stage of economic development will never try and take advantage of an opening however big or advantageous. Also, geostrategic compulsions will never allow India to go on an offensive militarily because of diversion of Pakistan's air assets to the West and possible attrition that may follow. This is fine in theory and thesis, but practically is way off track.

Germany came very strongly in Bonn conference and siding with Pakistan, but that has its own reasons....
