The Chinese built the Great Wall and Romans built Hadrian Wall but these walls did not stop the barbarians from invading Chinese and Roman Empires. The human factor is also important as some of these symphathic soldiers may allow people to pass. Nonetheless this temporary trench is good idea and after re-establishment of brotherly relations with Afghanistan and Pakistan is would not be necessary.

Seems the benefit of solar panels has really caught up in Pakistan.
Why not place those Vietnam style Bamboo Spear Traps inside the trench, cost effective and very deterring.

Oh bt wait, i forgot to add. The person who wrote the report doesnt seem too happy with he trench.
He has noted more drawbacks or rather failures of it than any positives.

Good. It should slow down the flow of insurgents crossing the border. The entire border should be covered, if financing can be secured, which shouldn't be a major issue anymore.
