Security and stability remains a priority for Pakistan and U.S.

The series of terrorist activities as of late in the Afghanistan and Pakistan region suggest that the terrorists remain focused on destabilizing the region. It was widely reported today that at least 13 people, including nine civilians, were killed in a suicide bombing claimed by Taliban insurgents against the Afghan police in northwest of Kabul. Last month, the terrorists entered Bacha Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Charsadda town and opened fire on students and faculty members killing at least 22 people. The heinous nature of these crimes requires our nations to remain united against those who are working against our shared peace objectives in the region.

We acknowledge all of Pakistan’s efforts in countering terrorism, and our nations have not allowed any of these unfortunate incidents deter us from moving forward in regards to our shared goals. The efforts to improve security and stability remains a priority, and our leaders continue to hold meetings to better our bilateral relations. In fact, Gen. John F. Campbell, Commander of the Resolute Support Mission and U.S. Forces – Afghanistan, met with COAS Gen. Raheel Sharif few days ago and acknowledged each other’s efforts in stabilizing the region.

The United States and Pakistan will also hold the sixth ministerial level strategic dialogue on Feb 29. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will lead their sides at these talks. The dialogue will focus on Pakistan’s economic growth, trade and energy cooperation, regional stability, and countering extremism and terrorism.

As you can see our nations are not letting any obstacles slow down our desire to improve the situation in the region. We certainly hope to continue working closely while using each other’s assistance in regards to achieving our shared goals in the region.

Though it is quite evident both countries have some trust issue which needs to be sorted out. US-Pak and with such dialogues we can enhance our cooperation and ties. US should further increase our precision strike capabilities further more and help us with our economy. I see no reason why China-Pakistan-US can't be good partners.

Their real ally are the Indians in this region. From advanced nuke tech to military hardware. They are providing India everything.

The Americans are very reluctant and distrustful to even provide 8 F-16s to Pakistan. They are not going to provide anything substantial to Pakistan.

Pakistan better start looking out after its own interests. Being a proxy and a slave of another power hasn't done us any good.

The approach of American establishment, something like policeman of the world is dangerous for American economy and American people. You cannot enforce your rules and your values on whole world. Chinese diplomacy and foreign policy is more successful as compared to US because chinese don't interfere in the internal matters of neighbouring states unlike US.
You must realize this fact that you cannot win support of the public by planting puppet governments and proxy private militant groups to pursue your foreign policy intrest.

While most Pakistanis want peace in Afghanistan, and want our government to go to every limit possible to make peace there a reality, we do not want Uncle Sam using us for his own designs. Americans are a very hypocrite people. Since their childhood,they are taught how to make a solemn face and start speaking (feigning) sense while engaging in back of mind calculations how to deceive the audience. Americans retarded a large number of brilliant, innocent and peace loving Pakistanis returning from United States to Lahore city, so that they(Pakistanis returning from abroad) could not introduce new professions and trades here. While doing this, American cunning continued to give large bribes to people in Lahore city and even money for development of Lahore city to keep people appeased. Motive was the American great design to keep our nations poor and weak forever. Yes, to feign sympathies, they would actually give us a few million dollars for improving livestock productivity and in some other areas.

This is a reality that a large majority of terrorists happen to be Muslims. Due to this reason Muslim nations remain under pressure to somehow present a better image. This weakness is deftly exploited by American cunning to advance their nefarious designs and retard brilliant and talented people who are great humans and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism or hurting anyone ever. And our nations, in their zeal to oblige Americans and under pressure to act to show they are cooperating with anti-terrorist efforts become instruments of American cunning and start retarding our own people. Pity we never understood the psyche of these Leprechauns.

Despite trying to completely destroy the relationship between Pakistan and the US, even Obama has come to realize how important relations are between both nations.

It's an abusive relationship, but one that both sides have no choice but to keep going on with. Pakistan will remain an ally to the US, that fact will not change for a very long time, no matter how bad relations get.

There is a word in Urdu and Punjabi called 'kana'. When two partners commit crime together, there is no question of moral superiority or ethics after that. When senior partner wants to assert some moral superiority, the junior reminds him of his own crimes and evils and the senior criminal starts to understand his limits. When black sheep in Pentagon bribe our corrupt people and give them millions of dollars each to retard our own people, our people know very well the nefarious motives of neocon heroes of Pentagon. Now those neocon heroes lose all authority when they want our people to do something that in fact must be done. Wonder why Pentagon continues to give hundreds of millions to Pakistanis through legal and illegal channels but still cannot assert authority on issues that are very rightful demands of United States. It is up to wisdom of decision making people in United States to set their priorities if terrorism is more important than expressions of neocon hatred that we experience when they retard innocent and peace-loving but talented Muslims here. To me it seems that it is more important for neocons to find expression for their hatred than rightful interests of their own country. But people in United States are free to make their own decisions as they deem fit.
