Scottish Independence Refrendum, polls open

Still doesn't mean they don't deserve independence, they joined voluntarily they leave voluntarily.

We support the Confederates States of America !

Jokes aside, I visited the Lincoln Memorial - I had seen Spielberg's movie & I was practically in tears while I read Mr.Lincoln's speech engraved on the stone walls of the Memorial edifice !

He was a Great Man.....a Great Man !

Well done to the Scots for throwing out this insanity of independence. The silent majority came through and anyone who has Scottish friends, family, business contacts would have known what most people thought.

Long live the union.

And in tribute to our Scottish family.

Did you see how close it was? 45% of Scotland voted for independence. That's almost half of the population. It could be only a matter of time.
No, close would be 47-48%, 45 is "close to close".

It's within statistical margin of error, after fraud factored in.
Yeah, prove the fraud and show me a source that states this margin of error. When it comes to referendums and elections, margins of error of thrown out and considered invalid.

I said that before the results published and I turned to be right.

Nonsense. Thats just temporary age issues. If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty, you have no brain. :-)

As for ur slavery nonsense. Scots are one of the leading nations in scientific output per capita. But all these scientists appeared under English "slavery" rule.

Some will change their minds as they get older but others won't.

Remember that a lot of the elderly voters grew up in a Scotland where being British first and Scotland second was the norm.

England can only hang onto Scotland by permanently bribing them with huge subsidies as otherwise it will break away in the future.

The Union has been broken in practice although in technicality it remains.

Doesn't Scotland already have independence, with its own parliament and all? :coffee:

But Russian MP Mikhail Emelyanov said the vote compared unfavourably with a much-criticized referendum held in annexed Crimea in March

Yeah, the extremely corrupt East in the middle of a war held a fairer referendum than a legal one in the UK. The jocks (scots) I know all voted yes, they like their life now so why risk anything.

I think england will now try to disband the Scottish parliament. Its the only way to keep Scotland from having another referendum

Rigged you can't 700k Scotish folks you can't vote and then allow 400,000+ brits in Scotland to vote No , gives a big deficit before polling even started of almost 1.5 Million votes

Final Result
No to separation: 2,001,926 votes
Yes to separation : 1,617,989 votes

As you can see , the election was statistically already decided when these stipulations were announced as described in the figure

At least when I will meet Willam Wallace , we I will let him know , I tried my best for Scotland's freedom unlike those other wankers who voted No
