Scam-wary Army calls off Israeli missile deal

@MST mate, Republicans or Democrats, its a fact that since the time of Clinton, US has made a complete turn in it's policies towards India, they need a good partnership with a rising economic giant like India. You will see that it was Clinton who changed the complete approach towards India, Kargil was the first Indo-Pak war in which US took India's side than GW Bush made many Pro-India decisions than we have Mr. Obama, so now no matter who comes to office, India has become one of the most important nation for US esp. when they are threatened by a Rising China.

That doesn't mean Pakistan isn't important to US considering the WOT, but arguments of some saying that Pak is more Important than India seems absurd to say the least.

Going forward it most likely will not be the case. But it was true till the end of Clinton regime.
Pakistan literally made (stole some part of it also) the Nuclear bomb under Reagan's nose.

US is just setting India up to be used to contain China, as several American Think Tanks noted. India is merely a pawn used by the west to counter Chinese influence in Asia. The fact that you think India is in some privilege class shows your inaccuracy. As far as US selling advance tech to India and not Pakistan, well they're two components to this everyone knows India is a sucker for defense hardware and will pay for overprice military hardware even double the price, the second component is political. As for Pakistan we know Obama administration isn't optimal for Pakistan and as soon as he exits as Republicans and come in we will begin to see a shift again, and then you'll the last 8 years of favorability go down the drain. The Democrats arm you and the Republicans will use you.

The US want us as a pawn, but as I said, India is not a country like their other partners, we are independent and will remain to be independent. But we are not stupid and would let such a chance go by, that's how we get the nuclear pact, latest US weaponary, special political support to be a permanent UNC member...
These are clear signs that they offer India currently certain privileges, if you want to see it or not, but India knows very well that US policies can change, Pakistan knows it too well and that's why we remain cautions and play it smart now, according to our benefits and needs. Let's see how much more we can bend them, btw your hope on the next term is useless. If you had followed the changes since the last elections, you would see that the Democrats have already everything set up to send in Hillary Clinton and if that happens, it will be an easy win for her, no matter what Rep. candidate she have to face (if there would be any good one anyway). That means 8 more years of US benefits to India, since the close relations of the Clintons to India are well known.

India is just being set up by world powers to contain China even though India denies it.

Basically you don't know the facts US conducts itself in accordance with their agreement and approval by the Pakistani Government. US sought Pakistan's approval before taking action.

Lol @<u><a href="http://www.defence.pk/forums/member.php?u=11604" target="_blank">A1Kaid</a></u> have you completely gone off the deep end?

How many times do I have to post these videos:

The US clearly has aspirations of using India as its "pawn" but India has well and truly shown 2 fingers to them. Have you forgotten the storm be US raised of India not signing certain agreements like CISMOA,LSA,BECA etc? They were claiming India singing head was paramount to moving the Indo-US relationship foreward. Now look at their stand, they've entirely backed away from this stance and despite India having not signed any of these deals the relationship is moving foreword anyway. The US defence secretary no less has said these deals are not that relevant any ore and if India wants to sign them the ball is well and truly in their court.

The myth you guys like to perpetuate about India being used by the West as a pit bill against China just doesn't stand up to any degree of scrutiny and India has proven again and again it operates its own independent foreign policy.

Most objective US/Western analysts will, begrudgingly, admit that India isn't being as warm or cooperative with them as they had hoped for.

Yes India is warming new with the US/West but it is simultaneously warming relations with almost every nation in every region on the planet.

The only US "pawn" in S.Asia is,unfortunately, Pakistan.

I would have to agree that the US/West have failed to co-opt India as a pawn against China.

India has proved that it does not bow to the US/West by still importing hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil from Iran. It has managed to do this while still preserving relations with the US/West.

A lot of countries will have noticed how India has stood by Iran in it's hour of need and this benefit India immensely in forming/maintaining relations with other countries now and into the future.

As India develops into an industrialised state that is able to produce all types of civilian and military products, it will become one of the few independent powers in the world. This process will however take many decades to complete.
