Saudi Prince Waleed due in Oct

The world’s most expensive home is complete. The $1 billion (£630 million), 27 storey tower block in Mumbai is the home of Mukesh Ambani — the richest man in India, fourth richest man in the world –, his wife and their 3 children. It is difficult to know what to call it. It is far too big and grand to call it a house, the fact that it has more floor space than the palace of Versailles and 600 staff would ordinarily make it a castle, or Mansion, but can you call a sky scraper a mansion?

That much for Dacca equal to anywhere!

Ok..seems my post has lead some off track discussions here. All Indian guys relax. Nothing offensive about what iajdani said. Kolkata is in general a cheaper city to live in,and to be honest that's not too bad a thing.
No point comparing Mumbai,we all know real estate prices here are ridiculously high. Ease up on the offensive and focus on the discussion.

"The office of the prince has asked the embassy to find out some prospective areas where he can invest," said the official, who refused to be named since he was not authorised to speak to the media on the visit.

Is that... the job of the Bangladeshi embassy in Riyadh?

So you are comparing Mukesh Ambanis villa as a standard for Indian real estate???
How many ways you guys will ornate your retardness..????

No, Calcutta is not a standard but as it is the most nearest city so the comparisn comes.

Now what is the per decimal land price in residential area (middle class) of Mumbai??? And what is the per squre feet costing of an middle class apratment there? That should be the measuring scale of real estate comparisn.

Here is a middle class apartment i found in Mumbai for 67 lac rupees 1449 sq feet.
3-BHK Multistorey Apartment For Sale in Mira Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 1449 Sq-ft - MagicBricks.com - 9237373

Its cheaper than Many apartments in Dhaka. I am not sure if anybody could close the deal of a 1449 sq feet in Dhaka with that kind of price for any apartment. My BD collegue could help.

Off-topic again everyone?
Anyways land price in Dhaka
ranges from

Per 720 Sqft = 1 Katha = 50lacs to 10 crores.

Apartment for a typical 1500 sqft would range from
70 lacs to 2 crores.

Anyways saudi prince is welcome to invest. A greater amount
of FDI is needed now.

A apartment cost way less in Calcutta than Dhaka. Dhaka costing could be only compared to Bombay. Everything is expensive. Even Coxs Bazar or Chittagong more expensive than most indian cities. Delhi is expensive though as well now a days.

Property prices in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar are slightly less than Dacca. But equal to Mumbai? No way! Land prices are some of the highest in the world over there.
