Saudi-Pakistan Threat to India

Weren't some members on here bragging about how the Saudis were abandoning Pakistan for India? It seems Indian media believes otherwise

Saudi and Pakistan have only come closer in recent times.Just a month back Prince Salman(SA) was in Pakistan. Pak and SA have agreed to defence corporation agreement which might mean Pakistani fighters or trainers could be used to beef up Assad's opponents while Islamabad could even export weapons to Syria.Pak needs it more than ever now.They need financial support and who better than SA. Pakistan is looking at greater Saudi political and economic investment in Pakistan.
To India SA is source of 60 per cent of India's energy supplies and more than 5million Indians reside in SA.But our defence agreement is different.
The issue would be the nuclear tech exchange between SA and Pak.
Pakistan is playing what Indian strategists consider to be dangerous game. It could give Pakistan's army smarting under US neglect.... a fresh lease of life. That is bad news for India and Afghanistan in a year when US troops are withdrawing from Afghanistan.

Stop being Jealous of us & jinxing our relation with KSA ?

I thought Big Sisters were not supposed to get between their Baby Brothers & his friends !

On Topic - No fighters, trainers or arms to Syria - Nadaa.....no chance of that either principally - No more Interventionism & inviting counter-interventionism or pragmatically - Why would we open another front when we're pressed for men & machine back home & why would we go against the Chinese, Russians & the Iranians on this when it serves no purpose to us or solidify our role as an exporter of terror to the rest of the world ?

Afghanistan is bad news for us all - Once the Americas leave - Afghanistan is going down-hill which means the TTP would get stronger & safer sanctuaries in Afghanistan or if Afghanistan doesn't go down-hill they'd start interfering in Pakistan like they've been up to since 1948 - So it doesn't benefit us either way !

And Nawaz Sharif government's decision to back the Saudi position on Syria...isnt that going against the Russian and Iranian wills???

What about the Joint-Statement ? I do recall Sartaj Aziz - the de-facto Foreign Minister of Pakistan - coming out & categorically squashing all rumors - Sartaj dispels impression of ‘Syria policy shift’ - DAWN.COM

The reason I believe this to be more than just merely a statement & one that can be relied upon because of the aforementioned reasons & one more - We've contributed quite handsomely to the Arab-Israeli Wars & the development of Arab Militaries but what exactly did we get in turn apart from 'soft-loans' & 'deferred oil payment' ? Mind you which wasn't offset by them funding many a religious seminaries alongside the Iranians & creating the present mess for us - Our fault for not doing anything about it at the time of its inception !
