Saudi defence minister to visit Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince and Minister for Defence Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud will visit Pakistan on Sunday.


Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif would receive the guest on his arrival at Nur Khan Air Base.


The development comes after Saudi Foreign Minister Dr Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir visited Pakistan on January, 7. According to a joint statement issued after the visit, the Saudi foreign minister called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and held delegation-level talks with Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. He also met Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters.


The leadership of the two countries discussed a variety of matters of mutual interest and the regional situation including the ongoing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran. The prime minister affirmed that the people of Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Saudi Arabia against any threat to its territorial integrity and sovereignty.


Saudi foreign minister briefed the prime minister on the recent situation in the Kingdom’s relations with Iran. He also briefed the on details of the Islamic coalition announced by Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism.

Military support is conditional with approval of parliament. If there will be another material support then it will be behind closed doors. Saudis are pushing their luck as we are not getting involved in their mess even if they send their entire monarchy to pakistan.

If saudis are expecting us to choose side in their pointless war then they are out of luck

Pa things been going on for sometime its just another layer on it .u think crown prince is that free ?He is not coming for Hunting ?trainers and advisors r already there so things r moving in that direction .pak is already helping them in yemen .Funa & Flora of that part of world is very similar like FATA area .samelike Northern Iraq & Anatolian platu i hope u got what i meant .

Nawax sharief cant do anything without a debate in parliment unless he wants to give covert help which will be disaster for him as Saudis are not as respected as they used to be in past.

Parliment in pak is like wex nose turn the way u want .Pak media and vibes r very Favourable at them so military attitude even in parliment its Geenlight

yemen is nothing like FATA.
Pak troops in KSA are advisors,trainers,instructors .. And Pak isn't involved in Yemen.
