Saudi bonds deepen with partner India

Lol i'm just stating a fact, arabs make fun of all south asians. So i found it funny that one dude said that Arabs like indians more then Pakistanis because thats far from the truth.
The thing is, individually there will be problems even with most friendly states. For example, a court blunder in Goa caused a Russian citizen who accidentally overstayed in India to be sentenced for "crimes against the nation". This was embarrassing since Russians are major tourists to India and though the matter was solved, it did exist at personal level. Similarly, an Indian student was killed in Russia by neo-Nazis after which Russians increased security of all international universities in Russia.

Another example is Australia. Even though we've got warm government-to-government ties with them, at people's level Indians and Australians are on a collision course after a rise in hate crimes against Indian students. In fact last year it went so high that it masked the enmity between you and us.

But as this article states, it is a country-to-country meet which is generally done in billions and in interest of 2 agreeing countries. What's the point of bringing individual treatment here in first place? Both you and I know how people of Indian subcontinent are treated at middle or lower levels.

But it doesn't stop until there's serious problem, like in Cold war.

.
You can go :blah::blah::blah:

Also, we don't want superior treatment then Saudi nationals.

But, its a open fact Arabs prefer Indians over others for example Pakistanis. ;)

...and how can you say that?
Do you Live in ksa?
If I show you the proof over here,it will come in trolling and my account could be suspended...

Pakistan has a veto as far as relations with india is concerned, Saudi has assured Pakistan that it has a special relationship with many facets that the one with india will never be able to compete with. :)

Can anybody substantiate that Pakistan has veto over saudi india relation or this is based on holy islamic brotherly Principals of friendship

4. Abeer Allam is a Muslim and joined the FT as Saudi Arabia correspondent in 2008. Prior to the FT, she worked as a reporter for Bloomberg News and the New York Times in the Middle East and New York.

Not back burning but Indian correspondents are known to lose neutrality and manipulate press for theor "india super power mentality". Same nascent mentality has been prevaling where ever Indians have made a main stay be it BBC, FT, NY Times, Al-Khaleejia, etc etc. Recently, even the UN has not been spared from such as Mr.Haq a Pakistani origin speaker was bought into spotlight by Indian media due to his nationality. The most ridicolous medias are Emrati ones which have more coverage on India than local and look like Indian news papers rather than emarati ones. Apart that there is nothing new in the article

Its mostly the indian management which spoils the atmosphere by indianizing every entity they are hired into. Same has been the case in USA look at corporations like Cisco, IBM, HP, Google now they look like indian companies. Thats why Obama has been quick in handing return tickets to these H1B holders. The arabs prefer indians due to their submissve attitude and lower wages. I have seen all in one indian managers who would serve the dual purpose of PA to some incompent "khajoor" in management and do the best *** kissing to save their job.

You apparently dont watch news.

Also there are no Indians working in any strategic spheres in KSA like armed forces, navies, airforce. Their EF2000 project has soo many goras and Pakistanis working alongside, none indian. The whole of Hajj temporary crew on Jeddah airport is hired from Pakistan, about 4000 workers.

Or how like I went to supermarket and asked the indian manager where the anaars were from... he said "Afghanistan". When I walked away a bit I heard him say to his co-worker that the anaars were actually from pakistan but he didn't want them to get a good name.

Good going guys :)

I bought some towels from a store owned by an indian..the made in part on the labels was cross out with black marker..some clever investigation showed.."Made in Pakistan."

Also its funny how some Indian branded rice in markets are just Pakistani basmati rice repacked as denoted by their country of origin tag which reads Pakistan.

Or how about a moron client lets call him Mr. Ganga who asked my boss to send another engineer because he didnt like dealing with a Pakistani and he might plant something in the system! (WTF)..phattu!

do a search about Pakistan Amry in Saui Arabia. you will find a lot of details

my father along with his air defence unit was sent to Saudi Arabia during the 80s and I lived there too during that time.

as for Pakistan army we had the duty to defend against the communist Yemen and faught in the border town of Sharurrah. which was a military garrison town. on top of that Pakistanis were bankers, doctors and labourers like Indians etc.

exactly but some idiots think its Pakistan all the way in KSA .... Which is not ..

Let me broaden this discussion a little... I have seen first hand why Goras like Indians... Indians are given preferred treatment across the British society for the following reasons...

Indians are good at doing Gee Hazoori to their Gora masters... People from Pakistan like to keep their dignity and do not bend over whenever a Gora boss demands... despite the fact that Indians bring plenty of problems along with them. I remember a woman was once telling me about a case she was dealing where there was tussle between two Indians in the same place... Reason. The boss was from an inferior caste and the lower grade higher caste person did not tolerate getting instructions from her boss...

Also... in having hidden anomosity towards Pakistan... The British and Indians are very much united...

Wont comment about Saudis... You all know my ideas about them...

This Abeer Allam happens to highlight fact as symbol of rising India which are infact valid for every community for expats in Saudi Arabia. Not only that but the writer seems to inflate some facts in apsiration to express might "india super power". The indians may not even be a regional power but their mentality exceeds all limits of superiority complex. In saudi arabia its business as usual and the fact that Indians demans the lowest wage make them low cost option for companies to hire. Pure business.

Batha for Indians and Bengalis and Waziria for pakistans as well Balad for Asians and pinoys..

The exact expat count of Indians in Saudi arabia is 1.5mil. As per the 2010 census and directives are already on the way to reduce that count as the saudis dont allow excessive population from a single nationality for security reason. The second largest forigen population in KSA is Pakistanis at 1.3 million considering the huge disparity between Indians and Pakistan population, their numbers in KSA is nothing to boast about.

Again its business as usual..hillariously lowest wages for the same job. The other nationals particularly those from neighbouring arab countries can make the same money in their own so they dont to work in KSA if they will be paid an Indian standard salary.

And so do all others who are sucessfully living and working in KSA, otherwise they wont see light of next day. Its business as usual for anyone who is looking for a sucessful career regardless. If you want progress, you have to work honestly.

I agree with most of what you say but the point is simple...if India is the 4th largest trading partner for KSA...it will have more leverage than you might want it to have or perceive it to have.

As you know trade brings a lot of leverage.

For every such moron instigated incident that you can narrate there will be 10 times instances of Indians and Pakistanis getting along and being nice to each other...

Indians have performed very well in the Middle East.As a person who was born and brought up in the region i can say it confidently.Indians are there every where from, top ranking executives (CEO,CFO,COO) to laborers.Indians have even build their own business empires like the Emke group which owns LULU hypermarkets in the ME .
