The relief items sent by the Saudi Arabian government for the Rohingya refugees, who have fled to Bangladesh amid persecution in Myanmar since August 25, arrived in Chittagong on Friday.
A chartered flight with 93.81 tonnes relief materials donated by Saudi Arabia’s KS Relief arrived at Shah Amanat International Airport around 3:00am, said Masukur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner (general) of Chittagong.
Charge d’affaires of the royal rmbassy of Saudi Arabia Amer Omar Salem Omar handed over the relief consignment to Md Zillur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Chittagong, around 9:00am at the airport, he added.
He said the Saudi government for first time has sent the relief materials for Rohingya refugees. Wheat, sugar and other food items were among the 93.81 tonnes relief materials.
Saudi Arab declared $15 million (Dh55 million) aid for the Rohingya refugees who have taken shelter in Bangladesh.

Actually a good suggestion. We put them on boats and give them the relief materials and send them to Aus or EU. Then if they cry foul we can tell them to either stop Myanmar from doing what they are doing or keep accepting hundred thousands of them each week. C'mon I want this to happen.

Many of these Rohingyas have found ways to sneak into western Assam in the past and many more from the new arrivals will find similar ways to go there, too. So, ask your BSF to erect fence across also the open rivers. Rohingyas love Assam because the terrain is similar to Arakan. They call it Home away from Home.

If Bd doesn’t need the aid then Bd can refuse it but you can not criticize the donor while accepting their donations.
