It was reported last month that Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Lt-General Prince Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz and his Emirati counterpart Major-General Staff Pilot Ibrahim Nasser Al-Alawi had laid the groundwork for the formation of a joint Saudi-Emirati air intervention force during their meeting in May.

Are preparations ongoing in this regard?

When is the formation of this air force expected to be announced?

Tactical Report answers these questions and more in the following 405-word report.

They alraedy have the Peninsula Shield coalition which is much more broad and bigger what is the use for this one..

The Peninsula shield has the 3rd most fighter jets in the world only behind USA and CHINA. The Peninsula shield has a whopping 913 figher jets while the country below them which is placed in the 4th placed has around 750 which is Russia... Pakistan is in top 7 with 557 fighter jets

They have just met in KSA about 2 weeks ago..they might have taken the decision..So it will take some time before implementing it..

I just don't see the benefits in this cooperation because there is already something similar and much broader why not just use that window

Intervention against poor Muslim countries but not support of Palestine or Al aqsa

Nothing will happen. Expect nothing. These people love to talk.

(1) Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) and (2) Lt-General Prince Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz and his Emirati, have these two ever fought any real wars and face real danger ?

Not one — the overall performance was very poor.

We just feel sad and sorry that KSA spends 60 to 70 Billion Dollars on US military hardware yearly, yet it can't fight a war. Lacking combat spirit. Being a warrior should run in your blood. Yet Saudi soldiers don't have it because they are fighting unjust wars against unequipped armies and unarmed civilians. Example of the poor Libyans who were massacred last year by the UAE air force last year. The pilots flying those jets were Australians.
