LAHORE: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday said Saudi Arabia had always helped Pakistan, describing the Arab country as a ‘big brother’.



The minister was speaking at a seminar here and reiterated that Pakistan would extend all support to Saudi Arabia if the country’s security was threatened.



Asif further said the evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen was underway, adding that arrangements had been finalised to bring 3,000 citizens back home.



Khawaja Asif who also holds the portfolio of water and power minister told participants at the seminar that it was also the responsibility of people to control the waste of electricity and water. “We will control the power crisis soon.”



According to Asif planning had been completed to make large water dams.

First, Pakistan is not taking part in this, what ever KSA ask doesn't matter. I only care about Pakistani side.

Second, we are defending KSA from who ever attacks, whether these rebels, or some external force like Iran, ISIS or Israel like we always do.

Third, read the background of this whole game, these rebels are the same people who created mess in 2009 in KSA, ryadh, taif, which was cleaned only once Pakistani SSG came into action. Also, its Yameen President asking for help from KSA, so legally KSA is on the right side, and Whole GCC is involved in this not KSA alone.

So no its not aggression, and its not killing all yameeni people but only mess creator. Stop defending the oppressors.

And Pakistan has refused to enter the Yemen conflict. Our sole involvement in any such conflict in the Middle East will be purely restricted to defending Saudi Arabia, and guess what? 99% of the Arab Countries out there, (and Turkey), will be doing the same. Not our problem? It will tip the entire balance of the region and will eventually harm most of the world because of the damage dealt to the oil prices. Of course, none of this matters. Lets bleat about Pakistanis (and the Arab world) being Saudi slaves.
