That’s not True. Those days are long gone. Now it’s done differently, anyone willing to go for longer time (40 days+) will need to consult with people of the local jamat, they evaluate his situation and then do their recommendations. Also, now they do couple jamat (mahram mosturat) for 3 days, 10 days and 40 days. Recently couple jamat visited my area from Malaysia. Another misconception is that they are preaching others, they only remind other, DAWAH is for themselves….their own activities, Taleem, muzakrah, Ibadah, etc.
Western propaganda and their support for ISIS and other extremist organizations for their own agendas has even confused Muslims. Jihad has been hijacked by Western backed fake Groups like ISIS and RAW supported TTP.
There is a difference between Jihad and Kitaal or Kitaal is part of Jihad. Kitaal means fighting in a war against enemies of Islam. In Islam Jihad doesn’t always mean physical fight.
Jihad is an inner struggle, fighting your own demons but now west is using it against Muslims, supporting organizations who are destroying Muslims and damaging image of Islam in the world, portraying Islam as the backward and non-compatible religious in the western society.
Another point is that one person can do many things but he might be better in One. Also, in corporate environment, people have different responsibilities, from field sale rep to CEO. Also, in Islam different people have different responsibilities, some teacher Imam, scholars, expert in different fields (Dealing with issues related to Jadu/assr/Jinnat, Business, Finance, etc), some are good in charity work but everyone is responsible for DAWAH but the concept of DAWAH might be different for different people. Syeddnah Mousa (a.s) gave two kinds of DAWAH, Islam and Iman. To firon he gave DAWAH of Islam and to Beni-Israel he gave DAWAH of Iman Even prophet Muhammad (saw) gave two kinds of DAWAH, to kuffar he gave DAWAH of Islam and to Muslims he gave DAWAH of Iman.
