The Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces discuss relations between the two countries, especially in the defense and military fields.

Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contacted yesterday with General Muhammad Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the call, they discussed bilateral brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the defense and military fields, and the strengthening of joint cooperation in everything that would preserve security in the region.

The Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense and the Egyptian Minister of Defense affirmed the two countries ’keenness to enhance stability and address all forms of terrorism, and reaffirmed the two countries’ position in totally rejecting the prejudice to Arab regional security.

The two defense exhibitions are key to this success if it ever kicks off, which it undoubtedly should. Both of those events had great success. I was surprised how much the one in Egypt worked out so well. We all expected the Saudi one to be a great success as in general, all GCC military exhibitions -- especially in the UAE with the air show -- but the initial success of the first EDEX in Egypt last year was great to see and along with Saudi coop, it should kick into higher gear for this next upcoming one ISA.
