Before anything, tens of Twitter accounts are reporting that number of casualties has increased to 131.
Keep in mind, almost all those killed by Saudis in this wedding are Sunnis and absolute majority women and children.Horrific pictures are already out from dead kids and women on the ground.

I am creating a thread for this, mostly because of those few Pakistani/Non-Saudis who are busy justifying Saudi coalition crimes in Yemen 24/7 purely based on sectarian lines, practically sucking up to them.

I will update the number of casualties.

Two airstrikes by a Saudi-led coalition that has been targeting Yemen's Shiite rebels mistakenly struck a wedding party on Monday, killing 70 people and wounding dozens, a source told France 24.

The strikes hit the celebration in al-Wahga, a village near the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, said the officials, who remain neutral in the conflict that has splintered Yemen.

Many of the victims were women and children, according to several villagers.

The strikes, a senior government official said, were "a mistake."

The more time passes, more of the people around the world will understand the nature of Saud family in more detail.

The mask has come off and gloves getting now worn off. Things are not pretty underneath.

There is no cure that can substitute time.

It's impossible that all officials in Saudi government agree with all this. As time passes, I am sure there will be more and more unhappiness in the royal circle. We need to remember that King Salmon hasn't even been ruling for a year and look how badly he has damaged the Saudi image (which wasn't pristine to begin with).

Islamic countries should stop fighting amongst themselves. Saudis seriously need to revise their policies. It is ill fitting of an Islamic state to be engaged in this rivalry with an Islamic state. Iran too should try and fix relations with Saudia. Its hard with them lessening Iranian casualties in haj incident and claiming fewer were killed and not taking responsibility but this is what mullah states do. Propaganda is a part of the government and military structure and Iran has a similar system-a system I believe it should get rid off to pave way for freedoms and liberty of thought.

I would like to see an Islamic state as internally liberal and democratic while being aggressive in foreign policy-particularly against US and other countries allied to it.

bad intel? even with the best military in the world such incidents happen.

That is really a big news. The last pillar on which American hegemonic plans for the region rests on, is Saudi Arabia and if this falls then US can not even stand up in the region. The other pillar was Israel, which Americans lost in Iran deal.

Lets see how Americans will continue their policies in the region once the Saud family is gone.

what a damn shame that these monsters are now the self proclaimed heirs of the once great Islam.
are they not afraid of Allah? or do they think since they manage his home no authority can hold them accountable?
tsk tsk tsk

They drop their bomb from fear of lending fully loaded...

They need to be dragged in the international court for deliberate genocide..

28 September 2015 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today condemned the airstrikes that reportedly struck a wedding party in Wahijah village, outside of the Red Sea port city of Mokha in Yemen, killing as many as 135 people.

“The Secretary-General expresses his deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and a swift recovery to those injured,” his spokesperson said in a statement.

“The Secretary-General has consistently stated that there is no military solution to the conflict in Yemen. Its continuation will only bring more human suffering and destruction.”

Since the uprisings in early 2011, the Secretary-General has used his good offices to engage with Yemeni political leaders and civil society to promote a peaceful, orderly and inclusive political transition process. These efforts have been stepped up following the military operation launched on 25 March by a coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

The Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen, Ould Cheikh Ahmed, is working intensively to bring the parties back to the negotiating table.

Mr. Ban called once again on all parties involved in the Yemeni conflict, from inside and outside the country, “to immediately cease all military activities and resolve all differences through peaceful negotiations facilitated by his Special Envoy.”

The statement added that any intentional attack against civilians is considered a serious violation of international humanitarian law and should be investigated through prompt, effective, independent and impartial mechanisms to ensure accountability.
