sanctions on India?"India is going to find out,Sooner than you think." - TRUMP

Good time for pak to ask for aid, IMF bailout and FATF exclusion.

Btw i'm not worried about sanctions, he may just use H1B visa issue, WTO issue etc.

H1B is not a big issue but US could stop all outsourcing to India at a stroke of a pen and India would be in deep trouble.

It is easy to move service jobs out of India than moving manufacturing jobs out of China.

You are incorrectly assuming that US would return the money. You look at what happened to Tejas program after the 1998 nuke tests and the sanctions that followed.

You are OVERESTIMATING the impact and nature of SANCTIONS...

After 1998 nuke test and sanctions... Tejas was in the AIR on 4th January 2001... just within 2.5 years... never underestimate your own caliber...

You are under estimating the impact of sanctions.

India would be in deep trouble.

India is neither Russia (Strong Defense and Energy power) nor China (Strong Economic Power).

You are OVERESTIMATING the impact and nature of SANCTIONS...

USA is already engaged in TRADE WAR with their enemies as well as friends... and India is already feeling the burnt of that... don't OVERESTIMATE others and don't UNDERESTIMATE yourself...

Trust me your desire to sanction India means absolutely zilch to Trump. It dosent suits his interest
while FTFA sanction is much more real and serious danger to you people

#Thankyou Mr Ping xing ming
Listen idiot stop living in 1950's. We are living in 2018.

Those times were different when Pakistan was a very weak country.

Ha ha ha idiots
Lack of toilets is the key factor for stunted growth of pakistanis,

Go do google

Why shah mahmood qurraishi begging for 300 mln dollars?
You are the bloody idiot. Go get the millions of your beggars out of poverty first.

Our poverty rate is not as bad as yours.

India has the second largest number of poverty in the world.

Now you understand why manufacturing sector is called growth engine in modern times... USA was always an untrustworthy ally... under President Trump it has become unpredictable too...

I am not under estimating India but cautioning against under estimating the opponent.

You cannot have mitigation and contingency plans if you are unwilling to accept that there is a risk. Being positive without Risk planning would be a recipe for disaster.

Manufacturing is indeed the weak link in the Indian growth chain.

what concessions?

India was aligned with Russia through out 2000's right after sanctions.

Have you heard about Jaswant-Talbott talks and NSSP?

Just check how much defense equipment that India was buying then and now.

It's a typical Trump response. It translates to "I've zero clue about this matter but I'm a strong boy".

Absolutely worthless statement and has zero implication.
yuup exactly this, this is the same when he tried to threaten paksitan most of us laughed it off.

he doesnt know what to do with this india russia deal so side steps the questions by saying india will find out soon

The current build up is china specific. If USA is willing to sell, there is no reason for India to not buy based on its requirement.

Still India buys nuclear reactors from Russia, buys advanced jets from france etc..etc...,

as an outsider just dont understand Indias end game here ?
Actually the US, India and Russia relations make quiet an interesting case study for university projects.

US clearly wants to make India a super power in the region so it can stand up to China and take away trade form china which makes sense for then India to tow the US line and be a yes man in the reigon, a bit like Israel in the middle east. But what does India get out of trading with Russia for gear we all know isnt really worth it, if someone says s400 or be another super power in the reigion it makes no sense to choose the russians.

Then i think maybe India will do 4 to 5 billion of millitary buys every year just so Pakistan cant do any millitary business with Russia.

very interesting to see where all this goes.

India bought equipment from the US with strings attached to keep US in good humor.

US relaxed sanctions as it had built leverage on India via defense sales.

India and US strategic relations has to do with China's rise, But India and Russian relations are out of necessity and high strategic value.

quite simple Russia do not want to loose its domination over its former soviet nations to china.

India - US relations are time bound, where as India-Russia relations are time tested and will continue to be strong in the future.

you are simply making statements. India spent more money on Russian equipment than USA.

Can Pakistan afford CAATSA by buying defense equipment from Russia? Once IMF steps in US would have more leverage on Pakistan.

So let's not assume that India is buying equipment from Russia to keep Pakistan away.

It is primarily to keep Russia in good humor and S-400 is not a bad product either.

India has rejected many Russian offers in the recent past from FGFA to SU-35.

you are simply making statements.

Have you heard about USS Trenton (now the INS Jalashwa)?

India acquired a warship that cannot be used in war without explicit permission from the US Pentagon

India spent more money on Russian equipment than USA.

In the area of defense, re-balancing the portfolio could take up to 30 years but the trend is very obvious. The purchases from US have increased at the expense of Russia.

India is becoming a self sufficient. India will not re balance the defense trade with Russia towards USA in some of the critical equipment. This is my last reply.
