Same-day visa for Indian biz, no cap on students: Cameron

.
If I were ****** I'd be a bit wary. Obviously a debt ridden UK needs elite from India to send their kids (many who will likely be happy to leave India and settle there)I'm sure it would have been general visas rather than business or student visas. I guess the fake schools thing had them a bit shook up :lol:Btw when did we start talking about indians and visas on PDF - A Pakistani forum

Which country won't want these students in their universities as these students helps in building and reputatio of the universities.

And talking of discussion on Visas on PDF, if you can discuss rapes in India, Shahrukh khan, Amitabh Bacchan, Beard of Indian Muslim, so called plight of Indian Muslims, why can't we discuss this positive news.

Meanwhile for those trying to work in INDIA !---

A working visa lasts only one year, up to two months to process. Endless paperwork is required by the Indian government before they will even process your application. Their entry requirements and do exactly the same here.

On leaving the country proof that all your taxes had been paid to the Indian Government . If you working in India, you have to pay for healthcare, no free housing is given , no benefits, no free education for children.A working visa is just that --a visa to WORK. Wonderful country to live and work in. Of course you have to have a job to get in and a company to back you.

Ca-moron.

For two weeks of holidaying in India--it costs £93 per person. Not to mention, subjecting applicants to an excruciatingly time consuming process ( read torture ).

Is the Indian government planning on offering concessions to UK/EU citizens at all ?
NO option for a visa longer than six months.

Students of the UK/EU are not incompetent at all. In-fact, they are much more qualified than an average Indian undergrad/grad student. While an Indian workforce does have better work ethics, they settle for much less than their EU counterparts. There a good number of qualified UK/EU member citizens without work as a result of this one-sided affair.

@Tin Man

Buddy, I agree with you. Talent is there in every country. There is annual camp set up in New Delhi where various UK universities come to provide information on prospective positions in the universities especially for Masters and PhD students. This type of education fares started to lure Indian students who often pick US for further studies rather than UK.

Every person has there own work style. One factor that Indians have that they generally settle for lesser amount for a job than UK/US counterpart.

There was a news on one channel where an Indian student from IIT, Bombay did his Masters and I think PhD from University of Illinois, Urbana C. He is working on making Lithium batteries by using plastics being added with a catalyst and burned to 700 degree C. It creates fine carbon particles and this powder can be used to make batteries which have larger life period and can extend 2-3 years of life period to 9-10 years.

It is considered to be an important research and many companies are showing interest in it as Plastic is present in every corner of earth posing as danger to our environment too.

Now US got this talent which could have been added advanced research to UK.

Now, just for your benefit; re-posting again from that same thread:

All that applies if you are looking to find work by yourself in India. Don't forget that India has a work force of its own to employ.
If you are coming to India as part of an existing Organisation; then its far simpler than that.
But remember that India has its own available work force. If as an expatriate; you have some thing special about you; you'll make the cut; otherwise there is no carte-blanche.
Simple as that.
India is NOT looking for people to teach 'Conversational English'. While China is.

So again; if you are looking to ease yourself into a job in India, you have to have something special about you. Which the expatriates working in India (including British) happen to have. Check out the blokes in BT and PONL's Indian ops for instance.

About Indian students in UK; while there are the creme de la creme (the kind with high GMAT scores) who get there, there are also pedestrian types whose higher fees (3 to 4 times that of Brit students) that is keeping the British Higher Education system chugging along. If these students (along with other expat students) disappear from the UK, many institutions in UK will face closure.

Trust that clarifies the facts of the matter.
