Why don't you report the other poor people kidnapped by the political parties and bloodthirsty thugs, for personal gain?!
If I come and report you of a person I caught in my home, for attempted kidnapping, who is alleged with 100 kidnapping crimes, you just send a police officer and his two policemen.

If someone having fame and wealth gets kidnapped, you start ringing the bells of ISI HQ? Seriously? Give everyone their fair rights. I am not interested if he is kidnapped or not, seems a drama to me.

Because his kidnapping will effect thousands pak citizen lifes directly & 100 of thousands indirectly. It definitely going to affect their family business i.e. they will likely try to move their business from pakistan and that will effect thousand pak families.

It will also give ur country's bad name & fame (which already being destoyed) and -ve impression to international investors, pak administration is not able to save lifes and business interests of businessmen. That will hit thousands probable job opportunities.

As for as i understand Pakistan's current situation, you need to taake following steps:
(1) You need a person with will to do this cleaning job ruthlessly (2) Pakistan should forget about human rights for 2-3 years as the terrorist forgot. 3) Terrorize the terrorist supporters as terrorist terrorized the Govt. supporters and common person. 4) No political interference.

LAHORE – DIG?Investigations Amir Ali Malik was visibly unnerved while facing media queries regarding the cases of heinous crimes that took place in the City and made headlines around the globe in the recent past. The DIG has no solid answers when the reporters asked about any development in the kidnapping cases of US expert Dr Warren Weinstein and Shahbaz Taseer.
The duo was abducted from Lahore on August 13 and 26 respectively while the police investigations reached a dead end in this regard so far. “We are working. We are trying. We will resolve these cases,” replied the officer when reporters asked these questions repeatedly.

how ridiculous that a topic about a slain politician's son's kidnapping ends up being hi-jacked and now there's religious discussion going on instead

but since it WAS brought up, I am 'compelled' to agree with the one of the above posters; there were many blasphemers and those who outright rejected Islam initially and those people were not necessarily stoned or punished; in fact Prophet SWS Himself was very clear and made it a point to ignore them even when they verbally lashed out against Him
