At that time the Ayyubids had existed nearly for 100 years and they got usurped by Qutuz and Baybars who took control of Cairo which was for the best because the Mamluks were not playing around. They truly got rid of the crusaders basically ended them. Palestine was in peace for 700 years with no wars after that until Zionism emerged ofcourse 70 years ago. But Palestine enjoyed long peace pre-that thanks to the Mamluks and the Ottoman just took over Palestine without much resistance continued the tradition.
But Insha-allah all that will come to end as our final and 3rd golden age is around the corner.
The prophet(sa) said my Ummah will have 3 golden ages in the beginning, in the middle and the last -
1st Golden age: 1st 3 generations + these who came after them such as the Ummyyad, Khwarazmian dynasty, Abbassid, Al-Andalus, Ghazanvids, Seljuqs etc etc - By the time Ayyubid came around the 1st golden age was fading and the turks and mongols were slowly converting to islam once the majority of them converted the 2nd golden age began with The Ottomans, Delhi sultanate, Ghurids, Mamluks, Cordoba, Mughul, Ilkhanate, Golden Horde, Safavid, Malacca Sultanate, etc etc it started to fade around 1750s and continued slowly decline until the 1900s where the caliphate collapsed.
Which means 3rd golden age can't begin without the 2nd one to fade and vanish and it just did that for almost 100 years ago. Imo once 3rd Golden starts it will last approx 140-150 years max before this epoch ends with Gog and magog
