S-E-X EDUCATION should be include in text books: Mufti Qavi

During my High school days (6th-10th), every year there used to be 2 days exclusive to s.e...x education. Teachers from other schools would visit us (So that there isn't any shyness b/w us) and they explain to us about the various things related to s.e...x.uality, private parts and also clear any doubts we have.

I think the same can also be implemented in Pakistan.

back in the early 90s when I was puberty'ing, hamare school mein bhi introduce ho raha tha, the girls got a separate sex 'education' class/session about it and they all got a handbook on their anatomy laters..

needless to say, those were quickly stolen and passed around the young male population who were excluded from said session

but some basic sex 'education' is pretty regular these days, I'm thinking ?

@all Pakistanis.. how is it like in Pakistan ? and of course there's a difference between rural/tribal areas vs mainstream schools.. I want to know how its like in major karachi/lahore/islamabad/'big city' schools etc


in a society where it's super taboo and weird for parents to address it, maybe the state should step in (delicately, if needed, and keeping the religious sentiment of the people in mind)

Ok either that is BS or some exaggerated version of something but I am very sure they dont do that in Germany....at least not in half of the states...

We had it till 10th. I am not sure about now but I think there is choice.

I dont know if both India and Pakistan follow the same model of education, but in India in State Education board or others,we are supposed to learn biology,maths,physics,chemistry along with languages till 10th class after that we can choose our chosen stream and study as per our wish.
For engineering stream they have Maths,physics,Chemistry
For Medical stream we have Botany,Zoology,Physics,Chemistry.

Perhaps, i know another pakistani who was in USA and his son called 9/11 to report child abuse because his father didn't buy him a favourite toy.
That guy took the next plane to Pakistan with his son(he received some thrashing)then left him there at his Ancestral place to study.

The last 2 lines is the same...I am just not very sure up to the 10th grade...I never studied in Pakistan so cant say whats the situation...at least my cousin's pre-engineering books didnt have Biology but then again I am not sure what grade pre-Engineering starts..

what you say is correct and applies to "all multi-gender" species and not just humans.

It is just that humans tend to use education to further improve on primitive behavior.

Sex education is not limited to how to reproduce but also prevent diseases and what kinds of diseases as well as people taking advantage, identifying or how to avoid pedophiles which no matter how strong the evolutionary pressure...we havent picked it up magically....

firstly, I think its the parent's job rather than the state/school's

but I also realize how awkward and weird it might be in some traditionally conservative/religious societies like we find here in south asia

I think the best would be to hold classes for those parents on how to approach their kids when they reach that insane age, let's be honest.. you're not going to be able to shield them from the interwebs unless you're super hitler kind of parents, and even then.. they're going to access pron anyway, and they're going to want to access pron.. good luck fighting mother nature and hormones otherwise

parents cant teach it... somebody from outside who is trained is better suited for the job.
