What external factors are you talking about ? The whole world is in slowing growth, demand is low, other than reducing oil prices there is not a lot of help or orders out there and yet the World Bank says than Pak services and manufacturing are showing signs of a turn around due to policy followed by the current Pak govt. I don't know if this Axact scandal has wiped out the service sector , but at least a start has been made.NS is working on the power shortage problem. there was a lot national internal cleaning that modi could have done, given the supposed mandate he got... he didn't even say something appropriate about farmer gajendra singh's death.

what he achieved in his foreign trips was military purchases, as if that was the most important thing.

All indian banks were nationalized, companies could not exit a bad business, could not grow above a certain point,business men were hounded so much so that many indian business moved abroad wholesale. Is that not enough socialism for you . The only thing missing was the gulags and reorientation camps of the Russians and Chinese. People under socialism were poor and without hope, the lucky ones got a few crimps from the govt. farmers didn't have to pay for electricity, but they never got any electricity. Govt school teachers were well paid but never turned up to teaches, government hospitals were filthy and you had to be lucky coming out of it better healthier than when you went in.
