What's new

Russia's dreams come true in India with Putin's help

being a good customer is better than being a thief.
Russian promote Su35, Tu22m3, and 1650 sub to China all day long. What you say. Thief or customer depends on Russian not you. Do you think india is any richer than China? Russia will say yes to china because we are helping it to balance USA.

Russian are selling to india WHICH IS KUDOS to Russia.

Well done CHINA for its growth and success & its massive indengious ARMS industry

Some times we have to GIVE CREDIT where its DUE & EARNED.

India is stil a 70% BUYER maybe even HIGHER AND THAT NEEDS to change to 50% Max imo

Secondly, if the Indian route regarding jet fighter technology is better than ours, then why is our fleet filled with all types of Chinese aircraft, including those equipped with WS-10A engines? While India still hasn't even inducted their "Light Combat Aircraft" yet?

Please, don't try to distract with comparisons to India (which started economical reforms and indigenous developments nearly a decade later), because the point is not who is ahead and who is behind, but who gains more? And to understand that, you need to compare both systems and the possible results for your country, not between China and India.
For your country as I said in my last post, the possibility to jointly develop a NG engine would undeniably a benefit, because you wouldn't be dependent on Russia now and must simply procure their engines, to re-design and learn from it again. If you had partnered with them, you would have gained knwoledge and own the engine as well, while time for developments would be reduced too.
And that's only one example, there would be so many possibilities where joint developments with foreign partners would increase your capability especially in regard to R&D, because that's where you lack the most. Russia and the west spends money in R&D to develop new arms and techs, while you mainly spend money to re-design foreign arms and techs, to get similar capabilities.

NONO,there'r two different dreams. One always to be a good customer, but one dream to become a seller, it's our difference.

The trend suggests otherwise

typical BS

as already explained 100 times - CHINA didn't even have a stock exchange until 1991 or 1992, the nation wide economic reform didn't happen until then.

please just google and read, Singh is fooling your entire nation.

So according to your logic economic reform means having a stock market. And if a country has a stock exchange it has had reform? Is that it?

Russia's dream comes true - year end fat bonus, yeah!

Putin's "strategic" relationship with India is as strategic as my "strategic"relationship with ATM machines, specially at Xmas season!

No, you no-brainer.

"peaceful" is right that >99% of china did NOT reform a single bit until after 1991.

1. At the start of 80's China started to setup SEZ- 4 tiny cities at its coastline to have a "trial" with combined population of less than 5 million people. ---> hence China's official startingline of reform. BUT...

2. Shanghai was/is China's main engine and it was not given green light to move until 1991, after 10-year-lesson well learned from SEZ. Amongst the first things SH did was then to set up a Stock Exchange.

3. Part of main reasons of 1989 Tiananmen movement was to criticise the conservative CPC for prohibiting nationwaide reform.

4. Only after Shanghai moved, the rest 99% of China followed., but still not all together

e.g. Beijing, as the political capital, didn't reform even before 1995.

Tianjin, another important 1st tier Chinese municiple city was allowed to reform until after Seoul Olympics circa 2,000.

The Western China was even slightly later.

...

Only Indian propaganda machine said that China ahead becoz it was a decade earlier starting economic reform. No serious person outside India buys this PS excuse made up by Indians.

WS–10 is cheap inferior copy of the Russian AL–31 they are still 10-15 years behind Russia even today

There have been several cases since 2008 of Russian authorities
in the Transbaikal region arresting Chinese citizens for attempting to smuggle
spare Su–27 parts into China
.118 This might suggest that China is not able to
design 90 percent of the original fighter’s parts and subsystems (the 10 percent gap
in design capability alluded to presumably refers to engines, avionics, and radar
304 SAUNDERS AND WISEMAN
which were not among the smuggled items). The engine is the only major subsystem
China has openly acknowledged it has yet to master, relying on the imported
Russian AL– 31F turbofan for both the J–11 and J–10 fighters.119 Shenyang Liming
Motor Corporation has produced a turbofan engine in the WS–10A Taihang
(likely the product of substantial reverse engineering) that approaches the performance
of the AL–31F, but takes twice as long to “spool up,” or obtain the same
thrust output, as its Russian counterpart
.120 This lag time could have life or death
consequences for a pilot needing to restart his engine.

No, they are learning (that is what they call learning curve, but it seem too long only). But it seem they are not quit good students, haha. keep learning!

Are these have something to do with India except you pay the Dollars?

It is not the choice, it is the question: Are india have other choice (instead of buying?)

Wrong. HAL's Koraput division fully builds AL-31 from raw materials stage since 2009. Hope you will understand.

Welcome to Engine Division, Koraput of HAL

You see, there are some advantages to license manufacturing and learning, instead of outright stealing and thereby abandoning all future help from the OEM country. This is one such instance. China still has to buy these from Russia, whereas we have eventually developed the core competency to fully build/manufacture it ourselves.

 do you have any clue on how an engine is made?

Only 5 UNSC countries can make a working turbofan engine. China currently is the worst of the 5. Nonetheless WS-10 series still count.

India manufactures AF-31? Even technological giants such as Japan and Germany can’t do it, neither Sweden or Netherlands, etc. India? HAL’s claim is even more fanciful than India having sent a man to Mars.

if India can make it, then why you can not even make the minimum maintenance of it on you own, instead of shipping it all the way to Russia, huh? Simple logic. The HAL propaganda just doesn’t wash, at least for anyone with more than 2-digit IQ.

Make 90% of an engine is easy! With some billions investment of factories, even Nigeria or Ecuador can do it. The most critical/difficult part is that tiny rest 10%, though. That, like hydrogen bomb, or ICBM with multiple miniature nuclear warheads, is not for sale- even for Russia - has Russia lease that Akula to you with N-missiles in it?

That tiny 10% can take India another 500 years, or for ever, trust me.
