Oh, I will do, a nice large one just for yourself. I'll always jump at the chance to salute such a solider.
The war ended when he regained his consciousness, he recovered fully and led a peaceful and happy life, passing away at the ripe old age of 96.
Yes, sure they had to give up territory, but they humiliated the Red army and gave it a beating that took them a while to recover from. With nearly four times as many losses in terms of men and materials, an armistice wasn't a defeat for a small nation that stood up against tyranny. The UK, Europe, and most of the world admire the Finns for their incredible valour. By God I hope they remain a free people and they join NATO.
No one is debating his achievements. The Soviet military was very poorly led an equipped during the initial war with Finland. A lot of their best generals were in prison. By 1943 the Soviet military was an unstoppable juggernaut. The Germans, Romanians, and Italians threw hundreds of thousands of men, thousands of tanks, tens of thousands of artillery and thousands of aircraft at the advancing Soviet armies and they got swept aside like trash. Their taunted generals were out manauvered, out flanked, outsmarted and out played.
And spare everyone the NATO propaganda about being "free". It was NATO and the west that caused problems in Russian/western relations. NATO has been overthrowing governments it does not like (Iraq, Libya, Yugoslavia, ect) not to mention the Korean War, Vietnam, the Falklands, Dessert Storm and so. Moreover, It's not Russia that sends arms to terrorists to terrorize the local populace in order to achieve "regime change". The west seems to like to condemn Assad which is by far the most secular leader in the Middle East yet the west will not say a word to the Saudis, the same people that executed anti government protesters, the same people that behead gays, behead people for apostasy, behead people for marital affairs, have zero tolerance for Christians or other religious minorities and have deplorable human rights for women. The west even praises the Saudi bombing and ground invasion of Yemen.
Moving on, It's not Russia that put a missile defense system in Europe or near the US border, it's not Russia that parks tanks a mile from the US border. It's not Russia that has hundreds of military bases around the world, in fact Russia has pulled military bases from Germany, Poland and many other countries while NATO expanded to Russia's border.
The US helped overthrew the Ukrainian government (they were wire taped discussing it) and admitted to investing billions in "democracy" powerful US politicians also met with opposition. You can only imagine if Russia did the same thing to the US, the US would go ape shit. Point is, Russia took Crimea as a response to west. If the west stayed out of business that does not concern them then Russia would not have taken Crimea and there would be no Russian hysteria. Now NATO is using the opertunity to expand even more.
Yes, let them join NATO, the beacon of freedom and democracy. Maybe NATO will teach Finland how to invade, arm and train terrorists, antagonize its neighbors, cause "regime change" and use powerful propaganda and redicolous double standards against any country that refuses to make consesons to NATO.
