Russian President Putin arrives in Ankara for key talks with Erdoğan

As long as the Karabağ conflict isn't solved, a true and deep partnership with Russia isn't possible.

Having said that, we need to cooperate with them if it suits our interest.

Its an interesting development. Never before have Turkey and Russia been close? The closest is probably when the Soviets gave Turkish freedom fighters weapons to fight the allies after Sevres, but that had little to do with Russo-Turkish comradery and more to do with ensuring that the allies got no foothold in Anatolia. Still this is international relations and things turn upside down overnight. An enemy of centuries becoming your friend is not fantastical. Just look at France and Germany (formerly HRE).

2 x batteries --> Direct procurement (some RU subsystems will be replaced with TR subsystems) delivery 2018-2019
2 x batteries --> Joint production (a lot more RU subsystems will be replaced with TR subsystems and final assembly in Turkey) delivery 2020-2021

Each battery consists of a minimum of 4 missile launchers, C&C vehicles, search radar and targeting radar.

Specifics about how many launchers, how many missiles, the types of missiles Turkey is interested in, or which systems will be provided by Turkey is currently classified.

The current situation has compelled the regional folks to bring out all skeletons from the closet!!! And, Turkey has a humongous amount of them!!! After WW1, the borders have been again opened for massive changes!!!! It's a gamble for it might turn both ways. It's obvious no countries in this region, including Pak, are safe from this new "pair of scissors"!!! Better be prepared than be sorry and let the staunchest "now or never" resistance for existence begin from right now - these are the themes coming from Turkey!!!!
Well if we make Allah's last message (the holy Quran) our true guide and follow it in true letters and spirit, no need to be afraid anyone except Allah.

We are not close yet. We have a president who can't run a bakery but is running the country and a terrible foreign policy.

The problem between Russians and Turks start from Golden horde times or even before to wars between crimean Khanate supported by us as their protectorate and then the tables turned 180 degrees after year 1750s which was us fighting the balkan countries supported by Russia as their protectorate and directly at times.

We have too many fundemental differences and clashing interests to ever ally with Russia.

Russia could sell a licence for manufacturing Ka 226 in Turkey. It can serve as a dual use helicopter, SAR missions etc. They are already offering it to India. Russia wont build many of the kind since its utilizing french engines

I'm pretty sure Turkey wouldn't object to that but Pakistan would probably want to install its own systems anyway if the Russians are allowing it. India will have the S-400 too so it's a bit risky.

Bro, ignore that monkey
I have a lot of respect for our Turkish brothers but and mostly don't have any problem with them but I don't see the reason why would he get personal for asking who (which country) is your friend then?

Those weapons were supplied by various Muslim and Turkic communities within the Soviet Union.
