Russian Officials Reveal J-31 Engine and Describe Sales to China

At least we cann make as many as we want...while you indian need to please foreigner first before to get what you want..

Russian, not happy with you. They will raise per unit price and what can you do since yr DRDO is so useless?

That is the different between china and india.

India is not compromising on making as many as we want lolz!

We've already signed firm agreements to get license to build as many as we want.

LOL.
Another self illusion. Russia are smart. As i say, some critical component is still restricted and control by Russia and needed to import from Russia to complete per unit. If india can really make AL-31FP engine independantly. Why cant you make a kaveri engine work?

AL-31FN come own paf has no interest in the engine they where there for some other objective WS-13 need time the russian have plenty during the cold war to push these engine to the limits the speed the Chinese are progressing this industry the 2015 is not far mate a lot to see beside the engines.

No WS-10 for PAF on FC-20 IMO. Only AL-31FN, even china is not sure on WS-10 even for some J-10B
prototypes, you don't really think they can deliver these engines to Pak on production-standard do you?
that too a single-engined jet like FC-20.

There is contract to get 100 RD-93 engines from Russia to china to pakistan - that means atleast 100 JF-17s
(only 36 inducted so far) will have RD-93 only, that means a long time, ofcourse excluding an follow-on orders
for improved RD-93/33 Series-II/III engines, in case of further delay in WS-13.

PAF does not dare use Chinese engine even on jet trainer like K-8, despite the fact that US engine for
K-8 offers less thrust, how can you think they'll be ready to use chinese engine on combat jet fighter?

LOL.

Kaveri engine's design was frozen much before AL-31FP production began.

We're soughting French assistance instead to increase thsrust to 95kN atleast from present 83.3kN.

How abt F-7PG using Chinese engine WP-13?

Kaveri engine project is dead, RIP... If you say kaveri engine design is frozen before AL-31FP production began. Now why you still need french assistance?

Yes, I forgot about the old F-7 thanks.

Kaveri project is not dead, it was just announced officially that Kaveri won't power the Mk-2 Tejas as
previously told - something that was unofficially knownfor years by now. But this was falsely reported
as Kaveri project closed in the stupid media.

French are being sought to increase Kaveri's max flatout thrust and sustained thrust as well,
you can see after Rafale deal is signed, Snecma will begin providing new components for improving
Kaveri as part of the offsets clause in the MMRCA deal.

That means you indian is not capable of increasing yr own engine thrust and need foreign assist?

We built it up from 0kN to 83.3kN there.

And if you think WS-10 is 100% chinese, you are awfully mistaken.
Russia does not even trust you on giving license to build AL-31FN and RD-93.

Really 83.3kn thrust? I have not even seen it power a single protoype to sky. So its zero thrust...

As for AL-31FN , It doesnt matter becos we got our own WS-10A and WS-13.

because we are not a copy cat. we will do everything from our own. and producing a new engine from its scratch is very very difficult. becuase we dont have any previous license built or copy cat experience in jet engine.

Lol, pound of BS.
It has nothing to do with copy. Lack of basic foundation will means you cant do anything even copy anything. The fact india lack basic manufacturing foundation and know how makes every thing difficult. In fact, impossible. Kaveri is out of yr scope. Indian technology is inferior and you are not working towards better. Work more, talk less.

Why would IAF fly a prototype into sky with it when they know it doesn't give enough thrust for powering
the prodcution-variant jet? Just for photo-sessions like you?

They had better bring in French components and bring up thrust to 95kN atleast before flying any
jet with it.

Yup! China can make a 1 million thrust engine and we just have the choice not to make it and fly. Talk is cheap. Typical indian response. Excuse is only India response. No wonder yr carrier project is delay. All project is only delay and fall back in schedule.
The fact you all refuse to face reality and admit failure is the main stumbling block of all progress.

Tell this to your fellow chinese member cirr in the LCA thread in Indian Defenec section
who is claiming that J-10 never crashed. YOU are the ones who're afraid to face reality.

Always waiting the best before doing something, and as while we reached one point part of the components are already out-of-dated we change the program again and wait for another newest components...etc.

The cycle will never stop, and that's not the way we progress in industry.

To be fully objective, our Indian friends have something to learn from our Chinese friends... at least on this point.

Precisely, you need to make out the 83kn prototype and test it in physical state ,understand all its problem and theory And make it work then before you can move to improving the higher thrust. I am sure our indian friend fully understand it. But the fact is they cant even make a 83kn thrust engine works and try to mask their failure by claiming they are just working toward a higher thrust engine without getting the basic right... Which i find is ridiculous. The main stumbling block of all indiAn success....
