Well instead of fighting in Arctic why don't the Russians just rent a permenent base in Mexico ? Beside Trump's wall ?

Mexico/Cuba have fantastic weather too.

However Mexico is better as has no hurricanes specially to areas close to Trump's wall

May be the rent collected from Russia's Army can be used to pay for the wall they Trump wanted?

Set up to 3 Military basis in Mexico , and pay Mexico , 1 Billion annually , Mexico can then may be pay that to Trump's wall

Position 10 squadron of Sukhoi-35 and few missiles

ROSTOV-ON-DON (Sputnik) — Russian flamethrower troops will for the first time take part in this year's International Army Games (IAG), Russia's Southern Military District (SMD) told Sputnik on Monday.

The 'White Sun' contest will for the first time take place as part of the IAG," the SMD press service said.

This summer's boot camps will be held in the southern Volgograd Region, in North Ossetia and in Crimea. Russia will start testing a new unmanned version of its Tigr armored car, equipped with a 30-millimeter automatic gun, this year, CEO of the vehicle’s developer Military Industrial Company LCC (VPK) Alexander Krasovitsky told Sputnik.

ABU DHABI (Sputnik) – The vehicle was first introduced at the Army-2016 military fair in Russia’s Kubinka near Moscow in September last year.

“At the expo in Kubinka, we realized that the car interested potential customers — we received support from the management of some Russian security forces and continued to work on it [the unmanned Tigr]. I think that this year we will get some funding and will be able to make all the improvements and begin testing the new version of the Tigr," Krasovitskiy said, speaking on the sidelines of the 2017 International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX).

At the same time, the company’s CEO added that a police modification of the car has been in demand in Uruguay. A five-door 10-seat version was specifically developed for the country, he added.

"In the autumn of 2016 we delivered a new batch of Tigr cars to Uruguay — as soon as they were delivered to the customer, they were immediately shown at a local parade of internal troops,” Krasovitsky said, adding that the Latin American country is now in possession of about 10 Tigr cars.

According to Krasovitsky, Slovakia is also interested in buying a new batch of police-modification Tigrs.

“We delivered one vehicle to Slovakia in 2016, and they want more,” the CEO said.

Krasovitsky recalled that police Tigrs had been bought by 10 foreign countries, and Russia is currently in contact with several more on potential contracts.
The 13th biennial IDEX kicked off on Sunday in the United Arab Emirates' capital of Abu Dhabi and will last through Thursday. The exhibition is the only one in the Middle East to include equipment for land, sea and air troops, traditionally visited by senior government and military officials from around the world.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia modernized 10 types of small arms as part of the Russian next-generation Ratnik infantry combat system, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Land Forces Col. Gen. Oleg Salyukov told Sputnik Wednesday.

“Within the framework of the Ratnik system development, 10 types of small arms have been developed and modernized,” Salyukov said.

The Dragunov sniper rifle, the PKP Pecheneg machine gun, the VSS Vintorez sniper rifle and the AS Val assault rifle are among the modernized weapons, the official added.

The Ratnik weaponry have been under testing since February 2015, and have already been improved ergonomically and upgraded with Picatinny rail brackets among other modernized parts.

Ratnik, an infantry combat system, developed as a “future soldier” concept, includes 59 pieces of equipment, comprising firearms, body armor, optical, communication and navigation devices, as well as life support and power supply systems, according to the official developer.

The system protects nearly 90 percent of the soldier’s body, it was designed to improve the Russian Armed Forces' combat capability.
