Many people in the West tend to forget the Ukrainian President was a professional actor and his closest deputies were his former directors, camera men, film techs, and other actors. Since the Ukraine conflict, Ukraine government has churned out tons of fake news and stories aimed to encourage the average Ukrainian citizens to fight Russian tanks with AK-47 and Molotov cocktails AND to mud-sling the Russian soldiers. Ukrainian people, go ahead and protect the comedian that dragged you to this mess. But I don't think Russian forces want to attack Kiev. Russian forces are rounding up Ukraine's elite forces in the East and will look to exterminate the new-Nazi regiments first. Attacking Kiev is too bloody and will be hugely costly politically in the long run. Once Ukraine's elite forces are decapacitated, Kiev's power supplies will be cut off and supply lines (military or civilian) into Ukraine will be monitored and bombed by UAVs.
